Please Help!

I own a Traktor s4 and just got a Stanton T-92 to scratch with. I have Traktor Scratch Pro 2, and a Macbook pro. My problem with my equipment is that I can only get sound out of my T-92 when it's a Live Track. How can I use it to use my digital tracks Please help I made my first vynal scratch the other day and I've been addicted since!

 

You need to upgrade to scratch version. Use the certified upgrade for S4 owners.

 

I upgraded it but it still will only come through as a live input. It doesn't use any of my lib. only the record that is playing.

 

have you set the deck to scratch mode? just click its letter, its there. And the record, timecode vinyl for scratching with traktor. I just read your post again, did you want to mix with vinyl and the s4? Or use an external mixer? you need to hook it up differently for that.

 

I pretty much want to use my s4 as my mixer and use the vinyl for scratching

 

hook the deck into an s4 input, in traktor preferences set the timecode input to the channel you plugged your deck into. Put the traktor decks in scratch mode, thats pretty much it I think.

 

How do I set the timecode input to the channel I'm plugged into?

 

Input routing in preferences as well as timecode setup.

 

Ok I got the Vinyl working but does it only use records or can I scratch with songs that are on my computer?

 

this is a dumb question but...do you have the timecoded vinyl on your turntable deck?

 

Yes, But when I turned everything on and fired everything up today Everything works beautifully. Thank you to everyone that posted with out your help I wouldn't be up and running right now. Thanks.
