    Hi all,

in the latest FM7 update info, I read that the problem "Plug-in could not be
loaded" is still NOT adressed - despite the fact that several NI people promised me that it will be adressed ASAP!

    Ehm, hello ???

I have paid 250 EURO for this synth and could not use it for 3 days because of this error that occured on two different machines here.

I have spent more than 4 hours downloading DX-updates, Windows-patches etc. and all I received was a new .DLL days later and a "sorry, we know the problem, but did not make it public and did not upload a patch, because so far only 50 people have reported the same problem".

Oh good, it seems that NI is adressing problems only when a very large customer base is affected. If only a few people are in trouble, then even offering a patch for immediate download or adressing such an issue in an update seems to be out of question.

This is very sad IMO and does not speak for NI support. Nobody did pay ME for all my trouble - but I paid NI for a synth with a know bug where I am personally responsible to write back just to get a solution ... somewhen :-(

Not very fair and gives me the feeling to be a second class customer.

Where did you get the info, that the problem is not adressed? Did you still have problems also with the 1.02 installer?

    Bye,
    Steffen

    Hi Steffen,

    just go to "http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?updatesfm7_de"
    then click on "What´s new".

    The first paragraph reads:

    Important Note

On some systems the FM7 produces the error message "Plug-in could not be loaded" at the
end of installation. If you are not able to start the FM7 even after a system reboot and you get
the error message "FM7fx.dll not found" when starting the FM7 standalone, please contact the
Native Instruments support team since the updates do not address this problem automatically.

I have not checked what the update does - but NIs statement is quite clear I think. So what about people who have this problem around weekend??
They would experience the same like me: begin not able work for at least two days.

Is the required DLL really taking up so much webspace or is it so secret that it cannot be made public??

    Best,
    Thomas

Ok, i must advice our online-team that this info is obsolet now. Of course we have exchanged the dll's that make the trouble with the new installer (i must know this, i have built them), so this problem shouldn't appear anymore.

    Bye,
    Steffen

    Hi Steffen,

    thanks for your infos!

I felt very bad when reading the mentioned statement, but it is good to know that things are solved by now and that e.g. reinstalling won´t be a problem for me (and others) anymore.

    Bye
    Thomas

And you tried to install the 1.02 version (the update from the website)? The dlls that Thomas mentioned are included in this installer.

    Bye,
    Steffen
