    Hello,

Kore 2 crashed my Cubase 4 and now, when I'm trying to open Kore in Cubase projects, it's asking me to update vst plugins and, if I'm saying 'Yes', Kore will not see Massive synth. until I'll update plugins in standalone version of Kore.

I have reinstalled Kore, updated databases of all my NI synths, updated full database from Kore, restarted computer, but problem is still here.

What else can I do? It's so bad to spend the precious creative time on problems like that :(

    Any advices, please?

    Welcome =)

Do a forced rescan of your plugins with C4 and see what that does...

    Hi, Ew
Thanks for welcoming and your answer.

I did rescan plugins in Cubase, but the problem still remains.
Some new information is that if I creating a New project in Cubase - all works well and Kore do not asking about plugins update. Just when I'm trying to open already existing projects - Kore will update plugins and remove Massive and its sounds.
That looks strange, but maybe it will give you some clues.

    Thanks again.

Does C4 have a safe mode where you can load a project's plugins one by one? If so, you could replace your existing Kore instances with new ones...

However, I think there's an easier way. If you're on Windows, run CCleaner to get rid of your temp files:

    http://www.ccleaner.com/

Reboot after that and try to open your projects. If I'm right in what I think's happened, they should open fine then.

    Thanks again, Eric.

Sure, you're right about temp files. I made cleaning and now only files I've opened today after crash has that problem. Other Cubase projects are opening good. I just can't imagine where Cubase keeps that information. Probably, as you said, I'll need to replace Kore in these files. Thinking about it don't makes me happy :)
By the way, the Cubase crash happened when I tried to open Kontakt sound from Kore... Just 2 Gb of memory on WinXP.
So, is it now a good time to move to Vista (Vista 64)? I know, there are many opinions about it, but what do you think?

Thanks again for all your help and time.
