    Hi
I'm having this problem I'm using Win 7 and Cakewalk Platinum I load Kontakt 5 Then insert a instrument into the interface. Now I want to delete that instrument so I click the little (x) in the upper right hand corner. I get a prompt that says, am I sure I want to delete with options to save. Problem is it's behind the Kontakt program. Kontakt is frozen waiting for my reply. Is there a way to bring the prompt forward. I have to delete the synth from the project and reload it, Any help with this would be much appreciated.
    Thanks Bill

You should be able to move the plugin window to get to the prompt?

Hey thanks for the reply your right. I should be able to move the plugin, This is probably another problem with Cakewalk Platinum. I've had so many little quirks with this new version I'm sure that's what it is.

This is interesting as I also have the latest Sonar Platinum and Kontakt and I do not have this problem. Thus I have a few questions.

1-how are you loading this instrument? From the Kontakt library or via the quickload?

2-Which little x are you clicking on?

3- if you want to just change the instrument grab a new one and move it over to the one you want to replace. You do not have to delete it first as it will be deleted when a new instrument is placed over it.

I am using the 64 bit Sonar and Kontakt and I can not duplicate your problem, thus the maybe obvious questions. I never get or have gotten that message.

Thanks for your input I'm going try and reproduce the problem again. If I remember this was happening when I would load a library through the file menu on the right' and then prompted that had to be loaded properly. That prompt was behind the main Kontakt window I could see the small icon on the windows task bar but could not bring it forward or close it from where it was. I'll try and reproduce the problem and post the results.
    Thanks
    Bill

I had a similar problem with another plug-in in another host. I had to remember to move the plug-in GUI off to one side first, so that I could see the subsequent pop-up in the centre of the screen and click it.

The problem was when loading a newer instrument in Kontakt 4 I was loading it by dragging it from the file menu to the interface. I would be prompted to use a new version of Kontakt but this prompt was behind the Kontakt interface I was only able to read this by putting the mouse pointer on the icon on the taskbar. The issue was I couldn't bring the error prompt forward or move the interface to get to it. I realized I was able to hover over the Icon on the task bar and click the red X (close button) to exit the prompt.
Thanks for all the help on this one.
