Portable Monitors for Macbook Pro

So just got my new 15" MBP and i'm planning on running Maschine and TSP together, what i'm thinking is to have have a portable monitor plugged into my mini display port setup behind the maschine controller (so it wouldn't need to be any bigger than 13").

I'd want it to be very portable, Samsung is almost there but it takes up a usb port (damn limited MBP in that regard).

Get a USB Hub... You're gonna need one eventually anyway.

 

Get a USB hub... I have a D-Link DUB-H7 and it's never once failed me. Highly recommened. I think you'd probably find that most laptops with more than two USB ports just have an internal hub to split one or more of the motherboard USB ports, so don't worry about using one - just make sure it's a high quality one.

 

I just bought a hub, the four port hub by logitech, it's powered and supposed to be multi TT. Though it's going to be taken up by midi controllers (2 x X1s, Maschine, xone 1D) and I'd prefer the audio 8 Dj to have it's own port.

The other thing is I'd prefer to use the display port as this is what it's designed for. There's a company called Cinema view with awesome 24" that have the same design and look as MBPs, I sent them an email and they said they may be releasing a 13" to go with MB Airs. This wouLd be the perfect size to sit behind the Maschine controller as it's approx 13".
