Portable version of Traktor Pro?

Is it possible to run Traktor Pro on an external HDD?

Just so I can bring my drive and plug it in and play.

 

dont see how that would work, as u need a operating system to run the program , and some kind of interface to control it..... maybe i am wrong tho..

 

I'm inclined to assume that it's not possible too, although it'd be way cool if it could work.

I bet some hack for it could be made... don't really know to be honest.

 

yes and no.

you would still need a computer with traktor on it, of course.
but you would be able to store on your external hdd everything else you need and import that to that other computer.

personally, i do that - when i'm going to gigs outside the town i always have an external hdd with me, so in case my gigging laptop gets stolen/breaks i would be still able to dj somehow.

yea I'm aware of this system, although I'm not 100% to grips with it and Im a bit concerned I might just mess everything up. However deffo worth getting on it as my laptop has been broken and thus unable to play.
If I had an external HDD at that time I could've played on a mates comp. This is basically the safe guard im after here.

 

yup, as i pointed out before - i'm having that as ultimate backup on a hdd (plus my traktor installation file, the tracks of course and my serial) for the super emergency haywire case (i luckily never encountered so far).
