Hoping someone will try to confirm this bug for me...

I'm trying to re-save all the Abbey Road drums presets at Group Level. More specifically I'm wanting to have a single instance of Kontakt Sound 1, and then route all the other Sounds MIDI outputs in the group back to Sound 1 and route all the individual Drum channels back to various Sounds in order to mix and play at the group level.

It all works as expected, that is until I save the group and then try to reload it. Upon doing so Maschine 2.1 crashes. I've tried a couple different configs and it seems only happen when I have mapped the separate outputs from any of the Abbey Road Drums (60s, 70s, 80s etc).

The simplest way I can cause a crash is as follows:

    1. Load an instance of Kontakt 5 on Sound 1.
    2. Configure Kontakt 5 to have 16 Stereo Outputs.
    3. Load an instance any of the Abbey Roads Drums (ARD) presets in Kontakt.
    4. Go to the ARD mixer page, route all the mixer channels to individual Kontakt outs (the number of channels will vary depending on which preset was chosen).
    5. In the Maschine 2.1 mixer pager select the Audio In for Sound 2 through Sound 16 and choose one of the Kontakt outs. Do this until you've routed all the ARD mixer channels to Maschine Sounds.
    6. Rename and save the group.
    7. Go to another group and try to load this newly saved group preset. Maschine should crash.

    Update:

You shouldn't need to save the group... Trying to duplicate the group will crash Maschine also.
Before anyone asks. I am running Kontakt 5.3.1.37, which has been run in standalone.

    The error I get is:

    Runtime Error!

    Program: C:...

    R6025
    -pure virtual function call

Issue confirmed. Sucks too because it has to do with the groups saving and reloading any internal audio routing. If you alter audio input for any sound or side chain and save the group it will crash on reload. Just sent in a report.

    Thanks for the confirmation...

This really sucks because I'm planning/working on a bunch of group level VST based instrument configs. Being able to save groups with internally routed audio is key to me integrating all the Abbey Road drums, BFD, Battery, and any other multi-output VST into my workflow.

Yeah, all that is bust for right now. Saving and loading projects will work fine but not groups with audio routing.

I have groups that 16. pad is reverb and others routed to it as send fx. This groups crash when loading.
But if sends are routed to another group they don't crash. Seems like it only crashes when routing within same group.

Thanks, so did you use the aux buss to rout or directly to the input? Interesting that routing across groups works.

This is going to be a major issue (IMO) as my entire routing philosophy is to keep all FX routing contained within Groups. As it makes integrating a project started standalone in a DAW much faster and smoother.

I hope they can put out a quick update to fix this...

I correct; routing across groups dont work either. But they don't crash maschine.

I put an fx on 16. pad and send aux to this pad. That groups crash when loading. Not all of them but most. And if it crashes once, that group always crashes. So i backed up all may groups (without aux routings of course).

This issue should be fixed in the 2.1.1 update.
