so my laptop does not meet the minimum specs for Traktor Scratch Duo 2 but I did download the demo for traktor pro 2 and I've been using and putting it through the paces and it seems to be working beautifully. I've been running 2 decks, with a sample deck and using the fxs and I've noticed no lag but I have noticed its maxing out my CPU occasionally.

That being said, since traktor pro 2 works with no problems, does anyone see any reason why traktor scratch duo 2 would not work fine? I just want to double check since I cant return it once I buy it.

    thanks in advance.

    Maybe latency issues with timecode?

The only difference between the versions is the features that the license key unlocks. Otherwise they are exactly the same program. So much so in fact that if you do buy DUO just activate your demo with the license key. No need to reinstall.

That being said I would hesitate to do any gig's on an underpowered machine. OK for practice but not live. You could still take a chance if you want and upgrade the PC later if it doesn't work out?

thats exactly what I was thinking. I'm not really a scratch DJ although I do plan on taking full advantage of the sample decks. Hopefully since I wont be scratching the latency wont be a big problem.

At the end of the day though I can always upgrade my PC though. NI doesnt have a problem if you install the program on a different PC with the same license right?

Correct. You can have Traktor installed on 2 computers at the same time as long as you only use one at a time. You can also uninstall it off the 1st one and reinstall it on the 2nd with no problem.
