Hello. I have a 80gb Ipod that I use as my source of music files. I've also been beatgridding and saving loops. The problem is I'm only able to access these MP3's whenever the Ipod is plugged in. Is it possible for me to export the files from my Ipod to my Mac's track collection without losing all of my saved beatgrid info and loops? This would relieve me greatly.

Yes there is; though it requires you to engage in workarounds that some people find ethically questionable, since you would be using the items you purchased in a manner not sanctioned by the companies who you paid for them. My feeling is, you paid for the music and you paid for the iPod, you should own those items and that includes the right to use them in a manner not sanctioned or foreseen by Apple or any other company. Suffice to say not everyone agrees with my perspective. That said....

What you should do is look for software that allows you to copy files from your ipod to your hard drive. It depends what version ipod you have and what computer OS you are using. For OS X, here is one option: http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/ ; another solution is here http://www.macroplant.com/podtomac/ ... Use google to find others; not everything works with every iPod.

No way! I all ready had extracting software, but I didn't think the beatgridding information would transport along with the mp3 to my mac. This has been quite a revelation, my friend. Thanks!

Yes, the beatgrid info is recorded in the mp3 files themselves. Some info is in traktor's preferences files but those aren't on your ipod, they should be in your home directory.
