Possible to map "stop cell" in remix deck?

I can't seem to figure out how to stop a cell in my remix deck if the cell is set to loop. I've mapped the deck to 16 pads on my Launchpad, and I'd like an unmodified pad press to launch the respective cells in their predefined play mode, but then I'd like to have the same pads + a modifier STOP the cells. Is there no way to achieve this?

You can do this with SHIFT + left mouse button, but is there no way to replicate this with a controller?

(I know that you can use the "slot stop/delete/load" parameter, but there doesn't seem to be a way to limit it to just 'stop' - I don't want to inadvertently delete a sample by pressing twice.)

hi, it's necessary to use the slot stop/delete/load command.

this means if you press the button once for a playing slot, it will stopp. only if you press the button once again it will delete the cell

There is a list of modifiers in the drop down box.
Use Slot state and playing (maybe not word for word, but something like that) then the button will only stop. And never trigger the delete.

What you guys are saying makes sense, but it's not working on my system.

I would expect the following behavior as standard:

    1) If sample trigger type is set to Latch Mode, pressing the assigned button while the sample is stopped starts playback, and pressing the same button while the sample is playing stops playback.

    2) If sample trigger type is set to Gate Mode, the sample plays only while the button is being held down. Playback stops as soon as the button is released.

I spent a lot of time last night trying to replicate this behavior but failed.

I notice there is a Slot Trigger Type modifier, but there is no Stop command. The Slot Stop/Delete/Load from List command does not stop anything, it only clears the last cell of the target slot.

Also, I have another question, in the modifiers drop-down menu, under Remix Cell State > Slot X Cell Y State > Remix Deck A-D decks are referred to using letter A-D, but under Slot State I see Remix Deck 1-4 (instead of A-D), is this intentional?

    Thanks

Hi there, I am using Maschine Mikro MK2 and Traktor Pro2 2.6.7 with the MM Mk2 "default" mapping and imported the mapping into Traktor. I have the same question: Is it possible to use the pads of MM to stop a cell or at least to mute. At the moment it make no sense to me to start a cell with MM but I can't stop it. I tried different settings but without success. Maybe someone can give a detailed description of "how to".

    Thanks in advance.

I read following on the documentation "Maschine Remix Deck Layout.pdf" which comes with Traktor 2.6.6 for Maschine Controller (MK1/2): "Shortcut: Press Button 1 = Action: Mute Remix Slot 1 (press while holding SAMPLING to Stop the Slot)" - how can this be replicated to the MM MK1/2?

I am currently also working on this. I was not able to get this button to start and stop a cell without deleting the cell.
Can anyone please post exactly what to map for one button to get a cell start and stop by one button?

Use the "slot stop/delete/load" command from the remix commands list, then use one of your modifier condition dropdown areas and find the remix "slot state" for the column and remix deck you are using, then select the condition "playing".
Be sure you find "slot state" and not "trigger type".

I've tried this, but it's still not stopping the Slot.
    See demo:

    Am I doing something wrong?

Can you perhaps shine a light on this?

Yikes that was a while ago.
I'll open up Traktor and take a look. Give me a bit.

You used the command "direct mapping" and trigger. That is not what you need.
The command is down the list a bit.
    "Slot Stop/Delete/Load from list"
After you select that and the Deck/Slot from the Assignment dropdown.
The you select the modifier condition "Slot State(deck/Slot) and the Value set to "playing".
It is a weird way that it functions, it took me downloading another mapping to when I couldn't figure it out. 15578267239661160019313117322938.jpg

If you don't add the modifier condition the sample will be deleted the next press after playing, next press loads another, next press stops again and so on.
The playing value only activates "of course" when playing so no need to worry about the other functions. But now you also know how to map loading and deleting, depending on that value.

I'm sorry for the hold up, and sorry if I didn't catched it, but what is the difference between your settings above and mine in the video?
(except you used button F on your keyboard whereas I used a midi-button)

Oh ok, I guess I only watched the first mapping command of your video.
That is correct. And it functions perfectly in all my mappings.
I mapped the full remix deck functions to a Midifighter Twister and all works well?
Do you have any other commands mapped the same button?

    No.
It stops the cell when playing.
But it’s not triggering the cell to play.
That was the initial idea: play/stop cell with same button.

Yep that's all that command does.
Typically the "stop" command is mapped to a separate button below the column like on the F1. Not the same button.
So the mapping should have the Slot cell trigger to play. And the Slot Stop/Delete/Load with play modifier condition to stop.

Here is how it looks for a keyboard map.
Sorry the first instructions I gave was just to stop the playing slot.

My guess is that you have both commands mapped to the same button.
You need to keep in mind the stop is set up as a separate button or use a modifier and another button as Shift.
It's confusing especially if you are mapping without using modifiers and basically layers to your full controller map.
There are also a couple different commands but use the "Direct Mapping" and Slot/Cell command for play. That way you always have the correct cell playing.

Edit...I noticed you are using modifiers.
So it should be possible to get the button to do both actions using a modifier.
Although the retrigger function would be gone.

zephry Thank you! Works :)
Stop / Play a Remix Deck Cell with same button using a shift-modifier:

...and made it blink when playing, and dimmed when stopped:

    using:
add out > remix deck > direct mapping > slot * cell * state
    learn : push button
    modifier > remix cell state > slot * cell * state > remix deck C > playing
    duplicate
    learn : push same button
    > loaded
    > invert
