I have the chance of getting a B4D controller but it comes without the power supply and manual. The manual I could live without but not the power supply. Any one know where I could get one from here in the uk?.

    Thanks all for your time

The power supply is 9V AC. Most generic PSUs will do 9V DC but not AC.

If you know anyone into electronics, they could knock one up for you. All it needs is a 9V transformer, a box and some wire and connector.

Yeah the original Boehm power supply is 9VAC, 1.9 Amp. I just wandered over to Ebay and did a search for "9VAC power supply", and the highest amperage unit I saw was 1200mA, which still comes up a bit short. With amperage it's fine to go with even a *much* higher rating, but it has to be at least the same or higher amp rating.

I have a question, as well:

I have a B4D coming in without a power supply as well. This will be my second B4D, and I intend to use them for upper-and-lower drawbars on the same installation. I know the proprietary Boehm "Link" cable can be used for both signal and to power a second (but NOT a third) B4D, and I know that there is a Do-It-Yourself hack out there on the net for building a "Swell" cable, and I wonder where I can get a "Link" cable, of if there is also a DIY hack out there for the "Link" cable as well...?

I seriously doubt the B4D requires nearly 2 amps to run. 2 amps will run a keyboard with built in amplifiers!

Yeah, that is a lot, and I just double-checked the PS to make sure I had not read it wrong. The Boehm Model AA-091A9 adapter still says "9VAV 1.9A". I don't have any other (VAC transformers to check it with laying around, so I'll likely pick up one of the 1200 mA ones if I can't find out how to make-up a "Link" cable soon.

OK and then I was goofing around with the B4D box itself, and noticed the sticker on the bottom of *it* that says "Power Supply: 8,5 ... 11V, 350 mA".

So anything over 350 mA will work. Make sure the output is AC not DC, though.
