Filed Preferences Window freeze

I have this same problem in Traktor 3. It takes ages to open and close the preferences window

 

This bug is as early as 2011:

I've now found that generic MIDI devices are NOT empty.

Every individual page has thousands of MidiDefinition structures, for every possible midi combination:

Latest CMDR can remove these default entries.
The oprmized TSI opens correctly in Traktor, but it still creates the entries anyway:

Could this be the reason of the Preferences Window Freeze problem?

I hope someone will tackle this serious issue. One of Traktor's plus sides is it's mappability. And this is seriously hampering it.

 

The Pioneer mappings has 14x pages and takes 18 seconds to load.
My mappings are bigger, but I've been able to shrink them to just 3x pages. It now takes 3.2 seconds (AVG) to load.

The frustating point is that the unused defaults are repeated over and over per device. The same defaults.

I'm starting to believe that this issue is not possible to resolve. Like many other long time standing issues.

NI could add more modifiers, that would fix this issue for some use cases at least.

Any news on this as this issue still present in v3.3 and the latest v3.4 beta version?

Seems v3.4 beta takes a lot longer to start compared to v3.3. Possibly due to this issue i think.

 

That is not the case at my machines. Check if you are having the same amount of mappings installed as before. More mappings means greater lag.

 

I have the same amount of mappings installed. Nothing has changed except the v3.3 vs 3.4

 

could you please make some repeated measurements?

For me nothing changed. The main reason is by far the number of mapping pages. Even if they are empty.

Is there any news on this? The report has been moved to the archive but isn't fixed (yet). Would be nice if someone is able to dig into this.
