Preset management

How do you (as a user) plan to manage presets?

I am wondering how to set up my user folder. And how to mark favorites and rankings.

The Factory presets are not in a folder hierarchy. The preset types (categories, styles, genres, whatever you want to call them) are managed somehow internally.

There is no folder called 'Bass' for example.

No way to mark favorites.

To make my favorites, I thought I would just copy all the factory presets into my user folder and delete the ones I don't like, and make my own directory structure, but before I get too ambitious I thought I'd ask.

I can't find a way to organize a sound into a bank type from within the VST.

 

Basically I'm hoping the preset management is one of those things they will be planning to improve as time goes on - at the moment it's really not very good, even if you use Komplete Kontrol to host it.

 

I totally agree, the preset management is poorer than previous NI plugins, it also misses the program change list
