Presets are not heighted when vst is re-called

Hi , am running Absynth on Mac os x maverics 64 bit. Every time I close the vst window then recall it again in Abelton as host the preset in use will lose its highlight and then I have to search for it again in the browser.

The sound doesn’t change just the highlight that shows the preset name in use. Any possible solution ? thanks

I Agree! Same thing to me after last upgrade. Not only Absynth. Samae on FM8 and Massive.

 

I have the same thing happen here but if the correct sound is recalled what is the issue if the browser doesn't point to it? To me as long as the correct sound is recalled and you can edit that sound without having to find it again in the browser - that's all I need. Now if you can't edit the sound that's another matter.

 

You are right, but for me is one of the main things is to change presets from special character mode. I mean type, sub type or mode filters in NI browsers. When I came back to synthesizer, I lose those filters.... It's not so bad, but I'd like to see those filters again without reset...

 

What is 'special character mode'? Now that you specify a little better what you're talking about it's easier to understand what you want. yes it would be nice to have what you're asking about but for me - it's no big deal.

 

I can't understand this: Is it a bug or just another update? Because, before last update my synths worked properly for me, and filters worked just fine... bring me back )))

 

I think it's just another update issue but then again like I said it was never a problem for me. Also like I said I can see where it would be valuable to have the previous path available without hassle.

 

Same here on Windows 7 64Bit. Downgraded to Absynth 5.1.1, FM8 1.2.1, Guitar Rig 5.1.1 (the worst one, as it would also loose the preset and loaded the default one once the GUI was closed) and Massive 1.3.1 - now it's working again.

Sent an Email to tech support in february, they could reproduce it and confirmed it was a bug. Haven't heard from them since.

 

its not practical at all. You working on a project and then you decide to go quick to your preset to adjust few things and if you cant remember the name of it which most of times I dont you will then see how irritating this can be . I hope NI can see that its a common bug and focus on fixing it

 

I all you want to do is to change some parameters on a preset having the path to the preset won't help and doesn't matter as the parameters are all still in the gui when you re-open it. You don't need the browser to change parameters.

 

Ok, ok, but what if i simply want to find (quickly) right pad sound (from exist) to put it on my arrangement? Normaly i do this: open GUI, click on BROWSER, then click TYPE (Synth Pad for example), SUB TYPE (Airy Pad) and try to play and listen. After that i close VST GUI and make some recordings, but if i decide to find another Synth Pad and open GUI - Woha!!! Do it again!!! So this wasting time is very bad, when you arranging/recording/anything....

 

Now this is different than what you originally wrote asking about. I can almsot see yourpoint but do understand no other NI synth/sampler does what you want either.

 

Has this been changed in version 5.2.1, has anyone checked?
