Looks interesting. I preordered mine and look forward to trying it. I know they will do a bigger one!

Been using the Atom for two days. It's awesome for what you get. Expect a bigger one in the future. Don't expect Maschine with this. Maschine has the better workflow out of the Atom and MPC imo. But it has great integration with Studio One.

Short note for those being interested in the Atom ... it ships with Studio One 4 Artist and this (!) week only you can get the upgrade from Artist to Pro for 50% discount, so hurry up folks.

I definitely will do, because I got Artist together with my new Quantum 2 interface ... the Atom still is not available in Germany ... one more week to wait. So far I was a Reaper user, but the demo of S1 Pro convinced me, that S1 is much more powerful and the performance is now acceptable. I especially like the new arrangement and chord tracks, which are very helpful for composing stuff.

PS: 50% discount for ALL S1 Versions except crossgrades, but only this week. So in case someone wants to buy only S1 Pro, you also get it pretty cheap this week.

I also must say imo Maschine (MK3) has definitely the better Pads and Workflow for beat making.

By the way, just because I came across a lot of the following questions about Atom in the net. And maybe it helps someone:

Question: "Can Atom be used with Cubase 10 Pro or Ableton Live 10?"

Answer: Since I work with Cubase and Live and have the Atom I can say "In both DAWs you can use the 16 Pads without ANY prior setup needed to MIDI trigger the Drum-Rack in Live or the Groove Agent in Cubase. Also the "Full Level" and "Note Repeat" buttons work, as well as "Bank Select". And of course you can map the 4 Encoders to control parameters of VSTs or so. Other than that you have no deep host integration functions like in Presonus own DAW Studio One Impact XT. For me that is sufficient, since for transport control, macros etc. I think most people - like me - use keyboard shortcuts.

I was surprised they came out with it. Pads feel good for what you get with Atom. Atom integrates very well with Studio One and impact xt. For the price its really good. Use the atom with serato sample and its all you need. Then whatever sample you chop drag it into the chord track and it tells you what chords are being played from that sample. Draw midi notes and then Studio One snaps the midi notes on the piano roll to follow the chord progression lol.

Nothing is fast as Maschine/Komplete Kontrol for making beats.

Looks nice, would this be a replacement for Maschine Jam? I love the Jam but use it anywhere beside in Maschine is a royal pain.

Amazing that they give you included in the 130 dollars price, the mid tier version of Studio one. I bought it recently and it is a great DAW.

Regarding the complains that it does not support VST: at least you can get JUST THE VST SUPPORT UPGRADE for something like 50 bucks; compared to other DAW that ask you to get their more expensive version to get one feature you may be interested in. For example I discovered only when it was too late, that Cubase does not support audio re-routing even in the mid tier version (400 bucks), so you need the professional version if you want to create and route audio, which is essential to me once I started using hardware synths.

I didn't read the fine prints? No, I had no idea that routing was even a thing; since I had logic before; so I thought that the more expensive versoin were only adding more concurrent tracks and more VST, for which I need none because I never use more than 20 tracks or so, and I have Komplete 12, so I have all the VST I want.

IF this works with Maschine, I think I am going for it and dropping the Jam; I don't even use the sequencer on it, so I just need a button box to control maschine in the end, and can make some space on my desk, and it works for sure in another DAW, compared to the ton of gear I have, which works mostly in Ableton live but nowhere else unless you are a tech wizard. The beauty of some devices is that they just works... I want to spend time playing, not fighting to get a button recognized

Not really a replacement for Maschine Jam. This is closer to the Maschine Mikro MK3.
Most reviews online say the pads are decent, but not as good as the Mikro.
It's a generic MIDI controller, so if someone made mapping files (or you want to work it out yourself), it can work with anything, but it's built for Studio One.

The ATOM does not have any Maschine support out of the box though.
