Preview..i just don't get it.

Hi there,

Situation:

Traktor Pro 2.1.2 , running on macbook pro with internal sound card selected in audio settings.
Set to internal mix mode.

So i want to be able to preview tracks.
According to the manual i set output L en output R of my internal sound card to Output Monitor, to be able to hear the preview.

But when i load a track in the preview player and play it, i just hear nothing.

Is it maybe not possible to use the preview function with my internal macbook sound card, cause it only has 1 output pair ?
Can anyone help out please ?

A process of elimination may help you to solve this.

If you haven't tried already....

Try to just get your preview player to work first by using both outputs. Then try it for just left channel and then just right channel.

Or

To check if it's the Mac sound card try splitting you decks across the two channels.

I'll test it out myself tonight when I'm at home so see if I can help further.

 

Check if the Traktor internal 'Cue' gain is set to zero.

Not sure if the volume control is not displayed in the standard setting or where it is located now. Check the display settings and look for the internal mixer settings.

 

Just got it working on my MBP using built-in audio, internal mixing mode and with the output routing split as Output Monitor = 1: Output L / Output Master = 2: Output R.

As soon as I drop a track onto the preview player it starts playing and sound comes from the left speaker.
