Hello wonderful NI folks. I just noticed with Preview enabled, when I move the down/up arrows and browse on the software, it previews whatever sound is selected.
However, when am browsing through my libraries on the controller, and am in the same folder and hit 'Next' 'Prev', there's no preview.

It'll be nice if we can even preview a snare/kick hit in a pattern before deciding to replace it. Sorta like how idrum let's you listen to a sound in along with the pattern before choosing it to replace what's already in the kit. I hope all this make sense.

    Thanks

    I second this feature request.

This is a very basic thing that should be implemented. It further eliminates the need to use the mouse. which was the main reason for my maschine purchase.

Yeah, the only way is to keep replacing then rebrowsing which is a bit of a pain to be fair... i too have resorted to preview in software....not what i wnat it for really as it starts to get a little too like Reason or similar...

actually....on the hardware and having "sound" selected..

1:have sample on pad and pattern playing (copy across and use empty pattern to avoid having to re-edit)

2:hold browse whilst hitting next or previous works for me and I hear the new sound in my pattern..... or have I missed the point finding a solution?

    make sense?

yeah, but that's different and a work around. In context would be, just rolling over a sound and it will play in your pattern without loading, so if you don't like it you still have the original.

Also saves you time from having to copy a new pattern just for sound browsing purposes.

    Bump for importance ... lol
Saintjoe! wha gwan, thanks for stepping in.

Yeah, the above work-around is cool if you've laid down somethin' already and want to switch up a sound or 2. Thanks for clearing that up still.

also, some way to preview the instrument sounds, would be very helpful!

maybe not "in context" but just let us play them from the pads/keys as we scroll through, it's helpful for the workflow to be able to hear the sounds before loading.
