    Dear NI,

After upgrading Pro-53 to version 3.0.4, I notice that only the first 69 preset names appear in Sonar's patch list. Furthermore, and more importantly, all Pro-53 patch banks are gone, so there's no way to access patches above #127 from Sonar. This is particularly bad, given that some prior Sonar projects are broken by this anomaly.

Patches selected from Pro-53's interface will reload with the Sonar project, regardless of the program number, but then Sonar is stuck in the relevant MIDI bank. For example, if you select Pro-53 program #311 (equiv. to MIDI bank #2, patch #0), then Sonar is stuck in MIDI bank #2. Sonar still displays patches from MIDI bank #1, but selecting patch #0, "Super Sync Lead" from Sonar's patch list will instead bring up "Thin'n cold," patch #0 from MIDI bank #2. It's a mess.

According to the Pro-53 3.0.4 upgrade's README, "Preset Name Display" was improved. I'm not sure what the improvements were supposed to be, but they appear to have broken the feature in Sonar. If this can't be fixed, I have little choice but to downgrade to the prior version. I don't even want to think about what sorta problems THAT's gonna cause, given the serial number changes and all. Grrr....

For what it's worth, I'm using Sonar 6 Producer Edition on Windows XP Pro. System is otherwise very clean.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Dave
