Does anyone know of a way to select a preset by scrolling through the entire library?

I'm running Pro 53 as RTAS in Pro Tools 7.3. The standalone version does the same thing.

It seems as though you should be able to click on the Program preset name and go straight to the main preset directory and navigate through the different types of sounds and select exactly the patch you want.

It should be like Elektrik Piano where you just click and choose what piano and what preset you want.

The 8 file, 8 bank, 8 sounds method is very clumsy.

Please someone tell me if there is an easier way to jump right to the sound you want.

When I tried Pro 53 on a Receptor Komplete you could select presets just like you can in Elektrik Piano. Why not when used as RTAS?

    Thanks!

Absolutely true. Everyone seems to complain about the existing patch selection method. Please, NI, allow for a simple categorized browser for patches within Pro-53!

I too dislike (OK HATE) the way they replicate the original in banks/programs and the cumbersome in loading presets. Sometimes designers take the "make it look like the original" idea too literally. Yeah - it's "cute" but not very functional.

further, I assume the Pro53 program manager can't justify the ROI for development time to modify this aspect of the synth. Will anyone NOT buy Pro53 because of this? I doubt it, so it can't be justified.

Great sounding synth, but I assume we'll have to live with these limitations.

I only use Pro 53 as part of KORE - without KORE the preset handling is hopeless but KORE tends to help get things into a reasonable order.

this presets layout is really lacking

NI please improve the preset access & management of PRO-53.

...better yet, just make the whole thing user friendly:

    ~ a larger window
    ~ a knob value display
~ double click knobs to default value
    ~ larger text & buttons
~ a whole new preset system

    Presets, I agree

Yes I really think following the original profit set up is a joke.
It takes me forever to find any sounds.
Please fix this there is no reason for it at all.

prompted by Kymeia's sugestion, I actually bought Kore 2. Yes, an expensive way to solve the pro53 preset problem, but i wanted to use it, and frankly just wouldn't if i was stuck with that archaic interface.

Kore 2 is cool, but also full of it's own set of problems. It's relatively stable now, and it certainly solved the pro53 preset mess for me.

    Looks like it didnt change...
I like presets to learn the synth but its a bit stressy to check out the preset-sounds.
PLZ change it. Is that hard to programm/code ?

    edit:
    Wow exactly 00.00h post...scary.
