I currently have a problem where pro-53 / vokator and spektral delay will not authorize properly after installing them from the K4 dvd

I just nuked all native-instruments stuff off my computer (including registry entries) and now when reinstalling *just* pro-53, it doesn't authorize properly.

Looking at the "product details" screen in service center shows a serial number, but no system id!

    Has anyone else seen this?

I was a K2 user who received the K4 update in the mail (I also got Kore, but that is uninstalled and not in the picture atm, just trying to get k4 itself solid)

    any help?

Hello. I am very glad that you solved the problem with the registration/serial#. What was the fix that the NI support staff advise you to use? Here is the porblem I am currently having with Vokator from Komplete4 (I just emailed this to tech support):

Hello. I just received Komplete4. I have been trying to update Vokator to Version 1.01, but I evidently need a serial# other than the Komplete4 serial# to do that. Where can I find the serial# for Vokator? Also the service center failed to download the Vokator 1.2 serial#. On top of that, although the Vokator 1.2 update is a mere 0.27MB, It appears as though it would take at least half an hour to download that tiny update. Downloads of updates via the service center are PAINFULLY SLOW! Please fix this.
    Thanks.

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

have you tried what the readme asks for:

    * In order to activate with the Service Center, a new serial number is required. You can request a new serial number following this link: www.native-instruments.com/spektralserial.info

When I click this link, a new serial number is sent to me which I can enter in Service Center in order to re-activate the product. This only works once per license of course. What happens in you case?

Unfortunately the link is not clickable nor selectable in Service Center so I suggest to better do this via the online update manager which is available here:

Hi Marius. Thanks for your reply. Wouldn't this link , www.native-instruments.com/spektralserial.info, be for Spektral Delay? It is Vokator that I need get the serial# for.
If some of the products included with Komplete4 have serial numbers other than the Komplete4 serial#, why are we NOT given those serial numbers?

    Hi Marc,

here is the relevant link for Vokator taken from the Vokator update readme:

    www.native-instruments.com/vokatorserial.info

In the latest Komplete 4 box the newest versions are included and will not require a separate serial number. For older boxes this procedure is necessary.

Hi Marius. The online update manager did immediately email me a serial# for Vokator 1.2. However, THAT WILL NOT WORK FOR VOKATOR 1.01! The download for Vokator 1.2 (Broadband) is a minimum of 5 hours (I have had it report to me as much as 19 hours for the download). Is there a problem with the NI server?
I will say that the updates for the primary software instruments in Komplete4: ABSynth4, Kontakt2, Battery3, FM8 went very smoothly (I already Had R5.12 installed). The downloads of the updates will still very slow though. Other than that, up to that point the service center had worked flawlessly.
What is the most important issue to address now is the fact that I CANNOT use Vokator. Since version 1.2 will not download, I need the serial# for version 1/1.01.
Please help me with this. Thanks, Marc

Hi again Marius. I guess I was typing my last post just as you were repliying to my previous posting. I must have an older boxed version of Komplete4. The serial# requested for Vokator only has 4 numbers in the first group of numbers instead of 5.

Yes, then you have an older box. We now have streamlined the activation process for all programs included in Komplete 4. One consequence was that a new serial number (5x5 digits) had to be used for all applications which required this serial number request option for owners of older Komplete 4 packages.

Okay. So what do I do now? Would the best solution be for me to remove Vokator and then re-install it? Will I run into any problems with the service center in the re-activation of Vokator? I should be able to find the serial# for Vokator from it's "about" tab. I could then at least update it to 1.01. Otherwise, since there is a problem with downloading the 1.2 update I have one very UNUSABLE piece of software. Please advise.

    Thanks, Marc

Okay, I finally got a good conection with the NI update server. I was able to download Vokator 1.2 in less than an hour. So now it is installed and activated easily by the Service Center.
Since each product included in Komplete4 does indeed have it's very own serial number, my advice to anyone buying Komplete4 would be to simply write down the serial numbers for all of the indiviual products immediately after activating Komplete4. This way you won't have a problem like the one I ran into when you update any of the individual programs.
Thanks to Marius for the quick responses and help.

    Peace, Marc

    Hello RandomLFO,

one question: which version of the service center are you using? I have the same problem with Vokator 1.2.0. The service center (latest version 1.2.1.2) expects a serial number like 9999-99999-99999-99999-99999, but from NI I got a 5x5 digit serial number.

How have you solved that problem? And have you solved that problem with Spektral Delay and Pro 53?

    best regards

    wolfgang
