Love Pro-53 very light loads, and very quick.. Excellent work, with enough knobs turning it sounds very similar to the Prophet!

If a new version is released PLEASE PLEASE offer screen size options. Other than emulation issues, the small size of the Pro-53 bothers me.

    +1

I'd love to see a Pro-54 with a beefier sound and expanded feature set.

Pro-53 sounds decent, but doesn't quite stack up anymore to some of my newer synths like Zebra, sylenth1, poly-ana, arturia synths, G-Force synths etc.

It's not like we need more advanced synthesizers, but many developers realize that there is still a pretty good market for accurate VA emulation and I think a Pro-54 should really concentrate on getting a great sound that really cuts through the mix.

I suppose the question is this: If the Pro-53 emulates the prophet perfectly, is there a need for an update?

I'd like a bigger size window and some of these other features, but complaining that it isn't as beefy as other synths isn't the point of the application, IMO.

Well if you think the pro-53 is the perfect emulation sound-wise, I think you're probably in the minority and pretty easy to please. While the pro-53 is a fine synth in itself, it certainly has much room for improvement in the sound quality area, especially when you compare it to VSTs that emulate other hardware synths as I mentioned.

If the pro-53 did emulate the prophet perfectly, there would be no need for an update. And if you think it does emulate the prophet perfectly, then you should get your ears checked. And I'm not one of those people who say the VSTs can't get anywhere close to hardware sound. I think for example that poly-ana, G-Force or the arturia ones are great hardware emulations, and the pro-53, since it's a bit older, could use some catching up to the newer sound engines.

Pro-53 is awesome as of now-- what I would like to see improved are--
    1. PRESET MANAGEMENT - I'd like it to be on par with the likes of fm-8, massive etc
    2. BETTER ANALOG/ SATURATION MODELING- Not that it doesn't sound great right now but I do believe it could be given even more depth and that magic that only hardware can provide.

If you put it that way, you're asking for the impossible! ;)

What is not like my old Prophet Five is this:

When you are in Unison mode, with a Glide setting ≠ 0
And you hold a chord, and while holding the chord,
Press the Unison button, turning OFF unison,

On a hardware Prophet Five, all the voices slide to their polyphonic voices,
at the speed of the Glide setting. It's a REAAALYY cool effect!
One reason it's so cool, is that the speeds are all different, because they have
different distances to slide. We used it a lot on 80's dance records,
such as the Liggett Barbosa productions of Shannon and George LeMonde.

On the (otherwise totally awesome) NI Pro-53 VI,
this cool polyphonic glide to different notes of a chord
DOES NOT occur. It is not programmed into the VI's software.
