Pro this Pro that...wtf?

Right! im lost at the moment please some one advice me on what to do, i was going to upgrade to Traktor3 from my Traktor scratch audio 8 package i recently bought, do i upgrade to traktor pro or traktor scratch pro or traktor 3?

 

If you upgrade to T3 and currently have TS, you get Traktor Scratch Pro for free.

Traktor Pro is now the "castrated" Traktor-Version, and Traktor Scratch Pro is the Version with all features!

Traktor Scratch Pro (you get Traktor Pro with Scratch Support)

if you want to upgrade wait until TSP is released, then you can save 20 bucks cause the upgrade to Traktor3 costs 99 and the update from TS to TSP 79...

and if you gone all the way, you are again screwed ... hate this kind of politrics .. honestly I let mine go now for sure, I didnt need to pay as much for upgrades and feature enhancements as I needed to pay for different apps of antares and steinberg just to name a few ... I am done with NI TS, "early adopters" getting dumbed by NI over and over again ...
free upgrade if you just bought the product? who requested all problems to be fixed and supported it over the time? luckily NI just replaced my faulty Audio8 ...

 

check my edit... TSP is the new Traktor that can do everything... from 4 decks over the customisable UI to the scratch support... everything's supported...

 

What does "gone all the way" mean in the context of your post? I went all the way once....in a park. People were listening to us doing stuff behind the little grove of evergreens.

You don't HAVE to buy Pro you know. But for those who actually want to approach this as a constructive opportunity, if you own both Traktor Scratch and Traktor 3, TSPro is free.

 

meaning from stanton FS, traktor all versions up to now ... I consider the app developing due to the real users who supplied feedback and improvement requests and not those who just bought it and getting it for free ... ts pro has included a lots of thoughts a lot of people who have been using it supplied over the time and not those who just gone out and bought the package and get rewarded because they just jumped up the train ...

not mentioning those who have only been waiting for Team AIR or H2O to bring the new thing to their desks which most of the consistant supporters didnt go with - as the product management most of the time has been listening to the legal early adopters and supporters. it was worth being heard and supported so you give credit, but at some time you need to give something back...

who of those guys who have just bought the product ever since had to defeat NI TS against rane? who of them has taken TS into use in front of 20.000+++ people, I did, and I am the fool needing to pay for the upgrade again? no sir, not this time time again ... I as an early adopter gone all the way since stanton and there was a reason why, but this reason fades away ... does ritchie hawtin have to pay for the pro upgrade, I doubt it, i think he has been using it less than i have been using and promoting the product as he used to use rane before he switched .... want a quote for a free upgrade, you got contact details of all early adopters ...

just to make a statement:
I dont run warezed software on any of my machines! I dont support them either but still, different ways on looking on driving a product might force people looking to the illegal way ...

rane does offer a tradein if you ask for it via email at very considerable conditions ... which make me think of a new tshirt: instead of wearing: NI traktor scratch does "rane" things ... it could be: scratch live does "rane" the thing ...

As TS user I'm really disappointed about the fact that the users that have contributed to have a more less stable TS, opening tickets, reporting bugs, and giving a lot of features requests, now we have to pay to get this new software.

All these users have done part of the work that is supposed to be performed by NI. So, in addition to doing that job, we have to pay for it. Unbelievable...

 

You simply report the bugs and they work to fix them. We have been getting free updates for a while now - TS Pro is a completely new upgrade with new features.

Surely you dont expect for a company to provide free upgrades forever. I think the upgrade price might be a bit steep but I don't think we should expect any company to give us free products just because we happened to have the old version.

 

First of all, when I buy any kind of product, I expect that the all the verifications have been done and it's completely bug free.

Coming back now to the real world, I can understand that not all is verifiable, and a few bugs may arise (yes, a few, not a lot )

I bought TS in mid summer, I've opened two tickets and the responses of NI have been quite disappointing. For me this is not the kind of support I expect when I pay 600$ for a product, but this is my point of view and you may have your own...

Finally, as I have already said, I bought TS 3 months ago. How long will I have support and updates for my TS? As you say, not forever. Agree. But I'm quite sure that the support for TS will not last too much, and its quality (that now was poor) will decrease due that the guys will be more focused on 'Pro'.

I don't think you will need that. Before, you needed Traktor 3 in order to have 4 decks in Traktor Scratch. But now, with Traktor Scratch Pro, you already have all the functionnalities of Traktor Pro (including the 4 decks), if I understand correctly.

That's just a pity because I have a Traktor Scratch ready mixer. I wanted to buy Traktor Scratch, but since I also wanted 4 decks, I bought Traktor 3 at half the price (the summer special) before buying Traktor Scratch. Now, if I want Traktor Scratch Pro, I don't need Traktor. I will need to buy the special Traktor Scratch upgrade, but my Traktor 3 will be useless and won't give me any discount.

So I bought Traktor 3 for nothing. 120$ down the drain...

There is no such thing as bug free. It's impossible. You can't make ALL the verifications.

Why would you need to buy an TS Pro upgrade. It clearly states on the same if you own Traktor Scratch & Traktor 3 you are eligible for a free upgrade to Traktor Scratch Pro.

I think people misunderstood the upgrade package with Traktor Scratch.

The difference was the package didn't have the Audio 8 included. That's it.

Essentially it's still the same full version of Traktor Scratch without the Audio 8 included in the kit.

So what you will get is a free Traktor Scratch Pro uprade kit since you have a certified mixer.

 

So I have T3.4 and TS, are you saying I will get the update to TSPro for absolutely free? When do they drop it? Will it be a Beta first?

I'm a little confused... with the free update are you getting traktor pro or traktor scratch pro, if traktor pro will i have time code control with cd players or do i have to also purchase the traktor scratch pro

 

The Traktor Scratch Pro package includes TRAKTOR PRO software and all the timecode/audio 8 elements.

The Traktor Pro package is just the TRAKTOR PRO software.

The FREE update for people who own both TS and T3 is just a software update to TRAKTOR PRO.

There is only one piece of software now : TRAKTOR PRO.

 

so what is Traktor scratch pro on N.I's website the product snapshots show in the programs header traktor pro and traktor scratch pro respectively?
