Pro this Pro that...wtf?

Yeah id like to know that. The header probably changes depending on whether Timecode is enabled or not. But hey thats just a guess.
Maybe the difference in packaged software is the different header.
There seems to be a DEMO header as well.

On the Minisite it says: QUOTE . Traktor Scratch now comes with the full version of the brand-new Traktor Pro Software.

Thats pretty clear to me.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I don't have Traktor Scratch. I was planning to buy it. But I DID buy Traktor because I knew right from the start that I wanted more than 2 decks. I bought Traktor in advance because of the summer special.

So that is why I am saying that I bought Traktor 3 for nothing. Because I will need to buy the Traktor Scratch Pro upgrade now anyways, and Traktor 3 does not entitle me for a discount.

 

Dude please please read the BUY section on the TS PRO minisite.

It clearly states that owners of Traktor 3 can buy Scratch Pro at a CROSSGRADE price (that is 100euros saving). Which is probably what you paid for T3 so it wasnt a waste of money . You almost get your money back in real terms.

No. If you have both TS and T3, you are required to return all hardware and paraphernalia, and they'll give you a 1-cent voucher to buy VirtualDJ.

note that if you're not owning TS so far, you'd have to buy a SCRATCH package which includes all necessary!
but this time the software does have all the features the *normal* traktor does have too.

no more *this is a T3, but not a TS feature* etc.

so it would be correct to say: it depends on the serial you have. just buying an audio 8 plus vinyls wouldnt do the trick - that remains valid.

 

This a MASSIVE point that many people need to read and understand because there are still people thinking that because the 2 software version are now identical they will have scratch funtionality in Traktor Pro without having bought some version of the Scratch package. Hardware isnt enough Scratch Software is just as vital as it always was.

The thing is... I do not want the crossgrade which is 600$. I want the certified mixer upgrade, which is 339$. That is what I have been saying from the beginning.

So I DID buy Traktor 3 for nothing!

Hey all, is there any possible way we can make this topic anymore complicated?

I currently own T3.4 and TS1.3.1.050- do I have to pay to UPGRADE or do I get the UPGRADE for free? I do understand that T3 will now upgrade to TPro, and TS will now upgrade to TSPRO. I also understand that Tpro will not have scratch functionality, but WILL have 4 DECKS! Woo-Hoo! I understand that TSpro WILL have Scratch functionality with only 2 DECKS! Yes! So can someone please tell me if we already own both T3 and TS, do we have to pay for upgrade? I thank you for your time!

 

Ok guys, I have found the answer. It seems that if one actually goes into the search link just above in the tool bar, and uses the right search terms, the answer and knowledge one can obtain is endless!

In my extensive research, I have learned that if you already own T3 and TS, you WILL get the upgrade to TSpro for FREE! If I am wrong, will someone please kindly correct me in a nice and gentle way?

Other than that, as mentioned, as far as I understood it it seems like the only difference between TP and TSP is that TSP has the vinyl control.
