When I use the Reaktor plug-in in Pro Tools 6.2.3 on a dual 2.0 G5, the sounds of most of the ensembles have weird noise crackle added to them, like hardware buffer type issues, or something else...

I have tried all hardware buffer settings in pro tools, i have opened sessions in 44k, 48k, with 16bit and 24 bit, and in all cases the noise is the same, but when i open reaktor 4, stand alone, and use the same ensembles, it sounds clean and clear.

I am new to using reaktor 4, but have used Pro Tools for a long time and just can't figure this out.

    Any info appreciated.

    thanks, christian

Havin the same problems Stand Alone and as Pro Tools plug-in. I put a thread up a week ago or so but got little or no response. Must be something to do with Digi CoreAudio?

audio problem as plug in is switch problem

regarding my initial post about the audio problems i was experiencing in pro tools, when using reaktor plug in:

there still may be some other problem with the audio that i have not figured out yet, but the main culprit of my problem was the switch bug. when you first open an ensemble the sound seems to be fine, but when you switch it sounds all distorted. it's because only the knobs are switching, most everything else is staying on the old settings for the first preset, and it just tweaks out the sound. this is most noticeable in carbon.ens

the only other issue that i think was giving me audio problems was making sure the sample rate were the same in the ensemble, and in pro tools sessions. don't know if it makes a difference, but i also opened the standalone application and in the audio and midi settings in the drop down menu to system, i changed the sample rate there as well to match my pro tools session.

hope any of this helps and doesn't just make it all the more confusing.
