I have been using Reaktor Blocks 6.1.1 in Cubase 9.

When I play from an instrument track from Cubase notes go missing frequently from blocks (running as a VST).

    Any one else see this?

Blocks is monophone. Do you obey this?

Yup - it's a monophonic modular synth - but obviously it has to cope with more than one key and work out which note to play (last, lower or higher).

Are we talking about a specific instrument or block?
Does it only occur when notes are overlapping?
Did you checked the legato settings?

Hi - It's only about Blocks in Cubase 9 (I think so far) Legato is OFF and notes maybe overlapping (I'm playing a lead on the Blocks synth - I would not know how to stop this........been doin' synth leads for tooooo long ;) )

I end up having a key pressed down on the keyboard and the "NOTE IN" module on blocks has the square small (not big red like usual when a note in press down).

    Like I say it's missed a note.

Same here drive a MIDI file in Cubase 7 to Reaktor 6 using TSM2. With or without Legato to a 4 voice ensemble no overlapping notes. The cursor move to a note but no sound comes out R6. A while later on another note there is a sound.
It's not Blocks only. In R5 all is okay.

Solved: had to give the ensemble 4 voices also.

What ensemble are you using? Can you upload a screenshot of the controls, and another of the routings please?

Sounds like a bug with Cubase though to be honest. Can you test the same ensemble in Reaktor stand alone mode and see if that fixes it?

Basically overlapping notes should not cause any problems. Just wanted to be sure that its not just a retrigger thing of an envlope or something, But well it really sounds like there is something wrong in cubase or any computer setting and i have absolutly no clue what is the reason here. I never had nay problems like that inside a daw. You could go and check if you get the same problem using another daw may be. Or may be check different buffer settings of your sound card. Do you have trouble with cpu peaks? If nothing helps you should have a look in the cubase forum or contact the support team. This is unfortunately everything i can tell so far and so. Hope you will get fixed it asap.

Stand alone fixes it - Reaktor blocks sound as it should - amazing :)
I do need it to play properly in Cubase though or I can't used for what I'm doing at the moment.

    Thanks :) GJ

So could this a problem with Cubase or Native Instruments' implentetation of VST with Reakor Blocks or just Steinbergs' VST interface?

Is this just one ensemble acting like this, or any Blocks ensemble?

I think I'm getting closer to the problem.
When I play a keyboard live into Reaktor 6 Blocks it misses notes - but if I record the MIDI and play it back (into Reaktor) the same notes played OK.

So it's the routing from your keyboard to Cubase?

Nope - I think it's the routing of the live keyboard to Reaktor 6 Blocks within Cubase (subtle difference). The same notes that do not sound from Reaktor 6 Blocks (missing notes) can be recorded in Cubase and then will play on playback.
