Filed Problem with displaying Cyrillic fonts

For example, in Smartlists the Artist/Lyrics/Comments fields may contain data in Cyrillic. But in filtering conditions, it is impossible to enter such words; spaces are written instead of the text. And especially important – you can't specify the name of any Artist if it is written in Russian!

PS. Oops, it turned out that filtering works, the Russian text fits in, but is not displayed in the interface – instead of letters, empty spaces. This seems to be a problem with the Traktor's System Font, not the Filtering Algorithm.

thanks for your report and for betatesting Traktor Pro 3.4.0! I can confirm this is an issue in our UI layer, you will experience the same when trying to edit a track to have "Песня" as its title: the browser will just show just spaces, but if you search for "Песня" the edited track will be listed in the results (for the same reasons the search bar will still show nothing but spaces).

Same goes if you create a Smartlist for "all tracks where Title contains Песня": the dialog will just show spaces but the query will be properly executed (as you already found out) and serialized in Traktor collection so that you can see the same Smartlist working after you quit and re-launch Traktor Pro.

Not saying this is good news, but at least is not a bug of our Smartlist implementation

The Search bar and track tags (including inline-editing in the browser) will correctly display Russian names if you select a Cyrillic or Unicode font in the Traktor Settings. However, some places in the program UI do not support a custom Fonts. These include, for example, comments to HotCues, text input fields in pop-up windows (when creating a playlist or folder), the Favorites panel (you can create a playlist in Russian and see it in the side list of playlists, but it will not be visible in Favorites), and now Smartlist input fields that are also in pop-up window.

 

I have exactly the same problem in fields that contain data with Greek characters.
If I select the tahoma font in the traktor settings, the Greek characters appear in the browser, but in some places such as consistency check report, text input fields in pop-up windows, hotcues names and now in Smartlist input fields, they appear as empty spaces.

Thank you, everything is fine, but the same problem is in Favorites. And this is also important because we can't add to Favorites, playlists and folders, written in the Cyrillic alphabet.

Thank you NI Team, fixed in Favorites and Smartlists. But here's where else is left:
1. Pop Up dialogs for "Rename" (playlist), "Create Playlist", "Create Folder"
2. Hot Cue captions(comments)
3. Track title under the Preview Player
4. Consistency Check Report (lists of "Missing Tracks" & "Tracks To Analyze")
5. Track Info panel at the bottom of the browser and maybe Status Bar.

 

For me, for example, Traktor does not perceive the Russian text at all, instead of the text there is emptiness. The Traktor does not support Cyrillic or I need to do something in the settings?

 

1. Choose any Cyrillic or Unicode font in the Traktor settings. For example, I like Pragmatica Medium. (tracks, folders, and playlists will display correctly in Russian)
2. Update the Traktor to the latest beta version (3.4.220 supports Rusian in the Favorites and Smartlists)
3. Above I listed 5 places where Russian is not displayed yet. I hope the developers will fix it there too.

I was already using Arial font. The problem is in the fields mentioned by radiokrishna.
