Problem with Grid Markers in Traktor Pro

    Hi all,

I have had this problem since 2.8 and still have it until now with 2.10.
So, I have a desktop and a laptop, both running Win System (desktop with 7 and laptop was with 8 until last week, I upgraded to 10).
My usual work flow is to setup a playlist on my desktop, with all cue points and grid correction with grid markers, then I export the playlist with tracks and then import and do the mixing on my laptop.
The problem, as the title said already, is that none of my grid markers will be remembered. The cue points, on the other hand, are perfect.
So, I'm just wondering is it a bug in Traktor or it's just me having this problem? And even better if I could get a solution here, since this is kinda annoying. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just do all of the work on the laptop ?

To completly synchronize both Traktors, you should try to copy the "Traktor 2.10.x" folder (in "Native Instruments" folder) after you finished griding and cueing on your desktop (and Traktor is closed). Then paste (and override) the "Traktor 2..10.x" folder from your desktop into the "Native Instruments" folder on your laptop.
After this, start Traktor and check your grids & cues.

!!MAKE BACKUPS before following these steps!!

I would have given the same suggestion on instinct.
However c0nsul, are you sure about what your writing, I mean you're right on the part about traktor having its own data stored, but then the rest is contained within the track itself. Maybe I'm wrong, and it is a wrong assumption on my part.
    For example:
    https://www.native-instruments.com/...traktor-store-is-beat-grid-queue-data.146868/
    or this
    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/beat-grid-and-collection-transfering.181930/

Anyway, the above are old threads and may be out of date.

I dont know about beatgrid markers, but traktors saves cue points in a tag inside the MP3, FLAC, M4A, etc.
You can check this out opening your song in a tag editor or Hex editor and you will find a TRAKTOR4 tag.

I don´t know for sure, what data Traktor stores directly in tracks or in its folders! So I edited my previous post. Thanks to -Yul- and edukees for correcting my assumptions.

Do you agree, that copying the "Traktor" folder to the second computer should synchronize both instances of Traktor?

Thank you all for the replies so far.

I have seen that some people said the beat grid and cue points etc will be saved in the track itself, that's why I am wondering why it doesn't work when I export playlist with tracks.

Not sure if it works with collection since I'm still arranging my collection on desktop. Will try if it works on weekend.
