I bought the Iaxe today, the software and drivers all installed without a hitch.

But when I record through any of the combos and listen back it sounds all acoustic and tinny, not like it sounds when i actually play the guitar.

Does anyone know why this is? I did read the instructions many times and I still don't know where i've messed up.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Just thought I better mention it's the Behringer editions I have.

Please describe your signal chain in detail.

    Thanks.

Time to make myself look like a fool. But what is a signal chain?

It's probably very simple but I'm new to all of this technical music stuff.

How is the guitar connected to your computer?
How are you listening back to the sound of Combos?

Ah I see, I just connect the guitar using the USB lead to my computer and listen back through the tapedeck on the guitar combo software.

Well, where are your headphones plugged into?

I hope it's the guitar, because that is where the sound comes out with the iAxe.

Yes, it is in the guitar. I can hear the actual amp sound fine, like it's all sounding like a proper electric guitar. Until I play what i recorded back to me.

    Then it sounds all tinny.

I don't have the combos here, so it's very hard to diagnose what is wrong.

Is there any way you could check them out? Or what do you propose I do?

I have a feeling it's to do with the latency setting, but no matter what I change it to it makes no difference at all.

    I could be wrong though.

    Thanks again.

Are you playing back through the tapedeck, or through another application?

And is the switch on the tapedeck set for "At input" or "At Output?"

Through the tapedeck, and it's set as output. When I put it as input it sounds fine though.

    I appreciate this help. :)
