    Hey peeps

Need your help!!!!!!!........... I only just got these products 2 days ago and I have been trying to get it up and running but with no luck....sigh!

Here is what I have done

    Step 1. Downloaded Native Access
Step 2. Registered the Maschine Mk3 and Komplete Kontrol
Step 3. Downloaded all available software from Native Access.......man that took forever.
    Step 4. Rebooted my PC ( windows 10 )
Step 5. Connected my Monitors to the Maschine MK3 and from the MK3 to the PC using the USB cable provided
Step 6. Connected the Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2
Step 7. Booted Maschine 2 and in Preferences, under Audio, choose the ASIO driver, Choose Maschine MK3 for Device, was able to browse the sounds and play them on the Maschine 2 software but the Maschine MK3 only shows the bootup logo, Now with the Maschine 2 software under the Controller tab its all greyed out......So I'm thinking I need to update the software but it is up to date, version 2.7.6, So I then updated the Maschine firmware to 1.1.0.......rebooted etc.....and still the controller is greyed out on the Maschine 2 software....SIGH!!!!
Step 8. Did the same thing for the Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 and got the same result......BIG SIGH!

    Please, someone, help me

did you ever get your problem sorted out? i have the S61MKII and Maschine MK3 too. i'm using a iMac though instead of a PC and i've had no problems. if your hardware is up to date, then i don't think the problem is with the hardware. can you take a few screenshots and post them, so we could see what you're seeing?

After all this time conversing with tech support, they still can't get it to work. The problem is not the hardware, it's their software, the NIHardwareService.exe is not doing what its suppose to do, it's not even running! even through TeamViewer, they cant get it to work
Only now they have escalated my matter to the developers, and now I'm playing the waiting game

I'm this close, to returning these NI products and getting Akai products instead
I know for a FACT I wouldn't have this kind of problem with Akai products or services

What are your system specs? I have an MK1 and it's working fine. What is the exact problem? Is the PC even recognizing the hardware? Like does the hardware turn on? Or is the actual Software not recognizing the hardware once plugged in? Are they both not working? Or is it just the keyboard?
Have you tried installing newer drivers? Have you checked the settings to set up the sound/controllers right?

Actually, you only know for a FACT after the event, unless you can actually see into the future.

Computers can be a right pain at times. I no longer offer tech support to family members, as they don't appreciate the frustration and time involved in trying to clear up their mess. You repeat the instructions what not to do, but they go away and do it anyway, whilst claiming they didn't, then expect you to just wave a magic wand.

    1. Reinstall the drivers for your Maschine.
    2. Try booting with just the Maschine connected.
    3. Try just using your Maschine on another computer.

This will then rule out any hardware issues with your Maschine.

If it works on a different computer, then it's a software issue/conflict.

If it doesn't, then the hardware has a fault and you need to return it/replace it.

It's a process of elimination. I grew up with IRQ's... You wouldn't believe the time spent dealing with conflicts back in those MS-DOS days. Good grounding for dealing with issues though.

Certainly rule out hardware issues first. Try the drivers. Try just the Maschine. Try a different USB socket.

Rule nothing out, no matter how simple or unrelated it may seem. Good luck.

    Thanks Oliseo

I fixed the issue and it wasn't the drivers or the hardware or even the NI software. The problem was windows 10, I fixed the issue by reverting a windows 10 update
I am glad that I had the patience and didn't return them, because I am sooo happy with the MK3 and Komplete Kontrol
I hope this will help someone else who may have the same problem I had

    Cheers!
