I have a problem. I put short bits of songs in my remix decks just like a sample but if there are more than one sample they play at the same time and they also loop. I put the songs in by looping the part i want and then draggin it to a remix deck. I use a Kontrol s5. Any help? I dont know if its clear enough but i really need the help.

Can you provide more info? I understand that you are correctly capturing a loop from a Track Deck to a Remix Deck using the S5?

Theres a few things. i dont want them to be loops but i dont know how to change them to a non loop version but my main problem is that all the loops and samples play at the same time. If i play a loop and then pause it and start a new loop the old loop that i dont want to play still plays. I dont know if this clerifys it more but i hope you understand. If been looking for a fix but i havent seen anybody that has the sameproblem.

It’s expected that captured loops are Loop samples. So far, you can only change the sample type (Single/Loop) using your computer, it’s not possible to do it directly from the controller AFAIK.
Also, I think that I already know what is happenning to you (correct me if I’m wrong): you trigger a sample (loop/single, doesn’t matter), but after a while, you want to pause it —> you press the S5 play/pause button. Then, you want to play another loop/sample, you trigger it, but then you realize that both the previous loop/sample and the current triggered one are playing, am I correct?
If so, what it’s happening is that when you press the play/pause button of your S5, you are not stopping the Player of the slot whose sample is playing, but you are stopping the whole Remix Deck —> All 4 slot players are “stopped”, but whenever you press play on that Remix Deck, all 4 slots will “return” to their previous play/pause state.
Furthermore, there is a setting in Traktor’s Preferences panel, in the Remix section, that enables/disables Traktor Pro to automatically enable Play on a Remix Deck when a sample is triggered.
Therefore, you had slot 1 playing, you press play/pause to “pause slot 1” (you are really pausing the remix deck, though), you trigger another sample from slot 2 —> the deck will automatically resume playback —> slot 1 will keep playing where it was, and slot 2 will start playing the new loop/sample

So, to solve this: you need to pause the specific slot that was playing on your remix deck, not pause the whole remix deck —> to do it, you can do it on the software, or you can do it on the hardware by pressing Shift + Pad (the bright pad, which represents a sample that is playing).

Feel free to try this and/or ask any question if you don’t understand something about what I just explained, but don’t worry about your S5 because if it’s what I explained to you, everything is working fine on your S5 (and there are workarounds) :)
