When Elektrik Piano asks for the library and you select the correct path for it, does it confirm that it found the library ? Does the meter show movement ? If not, did you check your audio settings in the options dialog ?

    Best,

    Martin

I have the same problem as stated above, and I have selected the directory where the library is. The app seems to find it (as there is no error message), and my audio settings are correct. I get the key animation from key note on messages from my MIDI controller, but no meter.

The problem is that no patches/instruments will load, and I don't readily see a way to load them. There is Remove Instrument, of course, but the screen says "Empty" all the time.

    Thanks in advance...

    Error can't find sample file...

Hi i've also one problem to load sample....EP find correct my directory with files and start load sample, appear a progressive bar but before complete the operation appear an error message that say ?ERROR CAN'T FIND SAMPLE FILE 002.wav(for example) and it seems that this file is inside the library file 600 Mb, so i can't localize in any other parts...?!?!?
Any idea or suggestions very appreciated, thanx in advance.

It seems that those of you having this problem are finding that EP can't find its library properly.

Go find your "Elektrik Piano Library" folder and delete it entirely from your hard drive. Then run the EP installer again. It should re-install the library and it should correctly find the library path. (That would be the easiest way to get it back.)

I'm having the same problem. It has nothing to do with the EP library. It has to be the .NKS files. I have them loaded in the right directory but still no samples loaded. The screen on the EP just says empty. HELP!

Yep, same problem. All files are in the correct directory.

I'm thinking an NI update is needed, perhaps this has something to do with a recent Mac OS X security update.

My EP file menu reads as follows...

    remove
    remove all instruments
    save performance
    ______________
    ______________
    performances >

There isn't even an option to load instruments.

Let's *hope* there's an update coming...

Hello Bladerunner, what I meant was that my installation path (as the manual refers to it) was incorrect. I had to go into the "Options" menu, in the section called "General Options" and manually change the installation path.

Originally mine had said something like :
    Macintosh HD:Users:Applications:Elektric Piano Library

That "Users" part or directory was what was sending Elektric Piano into the wrong folder on my hard drive to search for the sound presets. I just changed it to the correct path and it works now.

    I hope that helps : D

I'm having the same problem - display says 'EMPTY' and I'm definitely using the correct path to the library - what's the solution?

    Voila:
I had to make sure the 'Lib' files were in the same folder AND same level as the 'Instruments' and 'Performances' folders. Sorted.
