Problems importing a collection

Hello.
I'm having major difficulties in importing my music collection to my laptop from my desktop computer. When I click Import another collection and select the right file, Traktor starts importing and asks whether to use file or collection tags, and freezes. The program doesn't crash but the progress bar doesn't move anywhere.
I've tried to let it import for five hours and the bar didn't move at all. I've also tries to disable multicore processing and reinstalling Traktor multiple times but these haven't helped either.
I don't understand what the problem might be as this laptop and importing other collections worked just fine previously with my Kontrol S4 MK2. My laptop is a basic 13" HP if that helps.
I'm in a bit of a hurry with this issue, as I would need this laptop to work by Friday. I've tried googling for a solution but I haven't found anything. I'm in a bit of a desperate situation, so I'm asking for help!
