Problems installing Traktor LE!

Hi

Just bought a vestax vci-100 and got traktor LE.

When I insert the Traktor LE disk and double click on the icon nothing happens?

I cant install or access Traktor LE.

I have a macbook and osx 10.4.9.

Can anyone help me?

Contact Support (link below) and let them send you the Mac installer - somehow it seems to be missing from the CD. What an oversight... ::sigh::

I called the help line in the US and they were great. I am now up and running. I used it for the first time last night and loved it!!

If other people having trouble installing traktor LE from the disk that comes with the vestax vci100 on Mac call tech support (http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=contactinfo_us).

I emailed them when i first had the problem and am still waiting for a response.

Hutt, How did you get the response so fast from NI? I called their tech support and they told me to wait until Monday! :angry:
So now I have a paper weight on my desk until they decide to post the LE version on their website.

Native girl, could you hook me up with the .dmg file so that I can start spinning on this VCI-100?

Im chomping at the bit to get this thing going.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. PM me if you have the DMG (Install). All I need are the bits. (100101010010) I have the activiation code!

i have no mac installation files nor would i send them out if i had them!

contact support and if they dont come back to you in a reasonable time, provide me with the support ticket number so i can hava a look into the process.

I am sorry to hear you are having troubles. It sounds like there is a problem with the disk shipping with the vestax controller. It is very frustrating I know....

Anyway in answer to your question - I also had the Traktor LE upgrade disk. I bought it along with the vestax vci100 controller. I would recommend you get it as it will unlock a lot more features in Traktor.

Here is how I did it...

1. Called tech support in the US
2. Registered LE and the upgrade with Tech support on the phone
3. Installed the upgrade version
The upgrade is in fact a full vision but will only work if a version of LE is already registered.
4. Went to the Traktor Service Centre and did the unlock thing!

So I am now rocking!!! If you can afford it buy the upgrade and it should solve your problems.

Traktor LE + VCI-100 + Mac = lots'o problemos

No problem Native-girl. Tech support was able to send it to me...

I have been trying like mad to get this new shiny piece of equipment to work. (VCI-100)

After I installed the Traktor LE App, I wasn't able to run my VCI-100.
Problem is this:
Navigate to Preferences->Midi controller-> Find the Vestax VCI-100 entry. The checkbox to activate it wont mark the hardware as active. (Apparently this was a MAC ONLY problem.) I tried reproducing this on my friend's WIN machine and it did worked fine. I ran midi diagnostics and the communication between the vestax and my mac works fine. Traktor wont activate my midi controller even though it shows up correctly. In addition, Traktor LE isn't officially supported by the help line so they couldn't offer me any advice. Somebody please help, I cant get this thing to work.

I was hoping to use the Traktor LE bundle as my testbed to see if I want to buy the whole version. Traktor LE isn't making me very confident even though the service reps are saying all these problems will be solved if I upgrade. Not a very convincing argument.

Please help! :S

narcolepsy, are you in contact with the vestax support?
NI doesnt offer support for the traktor LE version that is shipped with the VCI.

anyways, NI is in contact with vestax on that issue. seems to have something to do with a generic USB midi driver, but i have not more information right now.

 

Hutts...which USA help line was it that you called? Vestax? NI?


I'm having trouble figuring out who to contact to get the mac install for LE and the VCI-100, etc. I'm recovering from surgery and was really hoping for an easy install so I would have something to do while stuck in the house here.

Any help would be really appreciated.

 

vestax is responsible for the support and they should be able to send you the installer.
