I am DJ'ing with Traktor DJ Studio 3 with the Behringer BCD3000 controller and Audio 2 DJ soundcard on 32 bit version of Windows 7. To my knowledge I have installed all relevant recent drivers for each. I have the Sound Device in Traktor's preferences set to Audio 2 DJ and the outputs correctly set.

There are slight pauses and glitches in the sound when i play music. On the whole I am pleased with this set up and it is fine for practicing mixing in my room. However, i have some fairly big gigs coming up and will need to sort something out soon. For a gig i did recently i borrowed my flatmates laptop which has XP installed as dual OS and it all worked absolutely fine! I have tried to install XP on mine but it won't work, seems like a hardware problem.

What's weird though is that when i record the mix in Traktor and play it back it's fine with no glitches. The glitches only appear live. They occur occasionally in general but more so when i adjust something on the BCD3000.

I have also tried taking the battery out and turning Wireless internet off, as suggested in forums. Problem persists.

For a start - is there anything strikingly obvious that i could try to make my current set up work?

And also - i have been considering 2 options if there's nothing else i can do: :S

    1. Sell the BCD3000 and buy the Numark Total Control. This looks good and according to reviews is more compatible with Windows 7 than the BCD3000. It comes with its own soundcard but I won't need this as i already have the Audio 2 DJ.

    2. Save up for a cheap-ish laptop i can run XP on and only have the relevant DJ software and drivers installed. But I can't do this any time soon as can't afford.

Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
