So I'm having issues syncing external hardware to Traktor Scrath Pro. I followed as much as I could in the manual, and have send MIDI clock enabled and the Master Tempo set to "auto". In the MIDI preferences page, I get something weird where my MIDI out internface says "Audio 8 DJ [emulated]". I'm not sure what "emulated" is supposed to mean here?

When I play a track in Traktor, the MIDI icon in the global section isn't lighting up, and my gear isn't receiving any MIDI clock signal.

What am I missing here?

To get this up and running you need to perform following steps (I did with my KaossPad 3, and that works fine)
    - configure your extern MIDI device so that it is setup to receive the MIDI clock signal
    - in TP open Preferences/MIDI Setup
    - activate the checkbox for your extern MIDI device in "MIDI Output Devices" and activate checkbox "Send MIDI clock"
    - now you can send MIDI clock from the Master Clock panel by clicking the Pause/Play button

the little MIDI icon in the TP header lightens up when TP receives MIDI INPUT, not when sending MIDI output

    Hope that helps

hey citizen1200, sorry to bother you, but i noticed you are the only other one who seems to have posted about not being able to get the padkontrol to work with traktor pro...

I've been trying to figure it out for the past two hours. I just tested it again with T3, and it "learns" just fine, but TPro doesn't seem to see it at all! Argh!

Did you ever get t-pro to learn from the padkontrol? Please let me know! I know it's not an ideal controller, but I have it and I want to use the x-y pad for effects...and people on the forum are too caught up with advanced midi programming to even respond to problems like yours and mine, apparently.

    please help!

    best,

    david
