Hello, I am trying to get going with Reaktor Player. I've downloaded Mikro Prism and Reaktor Blocks Prism. Mikro Prism is working perfectly, but Reaktor Blocks Wired only makes a noise if played from the computer keyboard. I've been searching for the answer and one possible line of enquiry is that it is something to do with the midi channel on which the midi keyboard (M-Audio Oxygen 25 version IV) is transmitting. I don't understand why works with one plugin and not the other though. I'm a bit of a newbie where these things are concerned so please explain in words of one syllable (or less!).

    Thanks,
    Carl Caulkett

Some Reaktor Instruments or Ensembles might be set up to receive MIDI on all channels (OMNI). Whereas others receive MIDI only on a specific MIDI channel by default (which is usually MIDI Channel 1).

As example: If Reaktor Blocks Wired is set to MIDI channel 1 and the Oxygen Keyboard is set to MIDI channel 2, no MIDI signal will come through.

So in this case you can either change the MIDI channel on your MIDI keyboard (if possible) to MIDI channel 1 as well.
Or change the (NOTE IN) MIDI channel in Blocks WIred to MIDI Channel 2 or OMNI.

More info can be found in general in the included manuals ...

I have upgraded to Reaktor Full Version, and have experimented with changing the input MIDI channel of, for example Lumikko.ens, within Reaktor Blocks Wired from 1 to Omni. It doesn't make any difference. I can only hear sound if I play the computer keyboard.

I am unable to start a new topic or get a hold of NI support so I am just going to add to this and see who replies before I bring my product back to Guitar Center and buy an Akai. I bought a Komplete Kontrol mk2 keyboard and installed the Komplete Select software. It downloaded fine and works fine with my Logic setup but many of the Reaktor blocks won't load. They are there, but when I load them they do not play. Many of them do work, but many don't. Example, if I load Apples or Bling Bling, they load, and the notes seem to play because the leds light up, but no sound. These are just two of many that don't play. I've re-downloaded several times, re-scanned etc. The Instruments and other synth's work, but it worries me to upgrade to Komplete or Ultimate when I can't get all the sounds to load and can't get anyone on the phone nor post to the user forum about it. If anyone sees this, could you please shed some light if you understand what's going on here. Thanks many!

Michael, in Reaktor like all NI software you've to start first the standalone versions and set in preferences your soundcard/midi connections. Do you did so?

    Hi Paule,

Thanks for the reply. I did follow directions, launched the products in standalone first before using them in Logic. I actually haven't downloaded all of the products yet because I ran into issues with Reaktor. My Sampled Instruments and Synthesizers in Kontakt and Monark work, but in Blocks Wired there are several that load but don't play. I re-downloaded and launched in standalone mode again to be sure, yet many are still there, but empty. I suppose it's not the biggest deal in the world, it's just that there seems to be no customer support and I don't want to buy the upgrade and have no ability to get assistance should more of them be missing. My computer is new and usually just works so I'm not sure. What would I need to change? If everything else works, wouldn't it stand to reason my connections are correct? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, I'm new to NI products. But if, say 70% of my Reaktor Blocks load with no issue, why is it the rest don't? Thanks for helping me out--much appreciated!

For some Blocks patches you've to start the midi clock in standalone. Please give a list what is without function. p.e. XY rubbertik's clock is set to External
    upload_2018-3-18_0-46-18.png
So start the clock in standalone. It's the play button in upper frame

    Same is on XY

Thank you so much Paule -- you are the best!! I knew it was something simple but couldn't find a way to get in contact with support, the contact/ask community link just asks to login and upon doing so goes to the main support screen with various support topics. Tried calling too. Thanks again for the helpful tip
