Problems with Mixdeck + Traktor le

hey everybody, im new to the forums but been into Dj'ing for a while now. I just upgraded to a Numark Mixdeck, and after a few days of headaches am a bout to return it. There have been a SLEW of problems.

If you know anything that could help i would greatly appreciate it!

Here goes
-Crossfader, i heard the crossfader was poor but i though the volume issue was only on the early (black) model of the mixdeck.... wrong. The volume cuts down almost 40% in the middle, totally useless for mixing songs

- Random BPM changes, again i thought this was only an issue with the early firmware, i upgraded to the latest firmware available but the BPM still randomly changes when using flash drives.... again this makes the mixdeck useless for mixing or gigs

- Midi control with Traktor le. i knew traktor LE was limited, (i was using vdj before), but its more than limited, it barely works at all. Using the fx or loops makes the software glitch out of control, and pressing the scratch button immediately sends the song back to the beginning. Making Traktor completely useless.

If any one knows anything that could help i would be in your debt. I think its absurd that a 700$ piece of equipment sucks this badly. i have a gig in 9 days and i already sold my old midi controller (hercules RMX). So if i cant get this POS to work than i am screwed.

 

Man 35+ views and no one knows anything that can help!

 

You may want to include more info about your computer's specs along with anything pertinent.

I haven't experienced such problems. I've run into a lot of Traktor issues more than issues with my mixdeck (I've had mine for barely a month).

If all else fails I'd suggest uninstall the software, flash (if possible) the firmware on the mixdeck and reupdate it, reinstall traktor and give it a try.

If it turns out you just got a bad unit, call numark, maybe they can help.

I too had a RMX the buttons worked great but the sound quality SUCKED,,, so i got the Mixdeck, it sounds really awesome, but i also cant get the buttons to corispond (in virtural dj either) .. i get the pitch controls to work, bass, terb, & mid, but i cant get the crossfader nor volume knobs to work... i even upgraded to PRO.. and sitll no luck.. any suggestion would be greatly apprecited,.. PS.. I am upgraded 100% on ALL FIRM WARE AND SOFTWARE!

 

Well the mixer is NOT midi assignable no matter what program you use. Meaning that its analog and the cross fader and channel volumes are all hardware controlled.
