    Hello dear tractor community,

I am using Traktor Pro 3 in version 3.5.1.277 on a Mac Book Pro with an Intel Dual Core i5 2.8 GHz with 16 GB Ram and macOS Big Sur version 11.6.1

    Now to my problem:

I connected a sound card with 4 inputs and 4 outputs. All cables are correctly connected and all routing is correctly set in the software. CD players are connected to the inputs. In both players I use the CD timecode in the MK2 version. CD was purchased legally, even from NI.

If I press play now, Traktor tells me that the software is currently calibrating the timecode. This works wonderfully. The software reports a clear, strong signal and it shows me: CD MK2.

Since I am new to this field, the first question is:

By default, the software sets the "absolute mode" every time. Is that supposed to be the case? As soon as I click on the "relative mode" button, a blue line appears next to the play position marker (red line in the middle), which then moves either more to the left or more to the right of the red, middle line.

What does the blue line mean? Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about it in the user manual.

Unfortunately, I also notice that the software does not ignore the exact position of the timecode in "relative mode"; Instead, as in the "absolute mode", the exact position is checked. Example: If I press “Pause” on the CD player and click anywhere in the track in the track and then press “Play” again on the CD player, the track in the software sometimes jumps to any point or even to the end of the track.

This cannot be the meaning and purpose of the “relative mode”.

I also tried this with Serato DJ Pro, with the associated timecode, and there it works in relative mode.

I would be delighted to find a solution to my problem, as Traktor is my preferred software and I like to use it.

    greeting

    Martin
