using kontakt with cubase sx2, a terrible buzz-sound
appears as soon as i click on a sample or trigger a
sample over midi. only killing kontakt helps.
same doesn't happen with logic or when using kontakt
independently! tried with different kontakt (1.1+1.2) and
    cubase versions. What's happening?

    Same here !!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried really everything to solve
this. No probs when I use Kontakt as a standalone application, but under
SX I get those MIDI loops too.
Whith all other VSTIs I use I don´t have
this problem so it can´t be a Cubase SX
    issue.

    Anyone?

I think I remember reading something about this being caused by the VSTi 2.0 engine in SX2 while Kontakt wasn't VSTi 2 compatible until I believe version 1.5. You can, however, ask SX2 to treat a plug in like a pre-VSTi 2.0 plugin by using the 'Plug in Information' window that you can find in the 'Devices' menu. One of the columns in there reads 'Old host behaviour' (you may have to widen the column to read that). Click on the 'r' in that column that corresponds to Kontakt.

I haven't tried it myself as I'm using v1.5 but this may solve your problem. Good luck!

I'd like to know why Kontakt seems to be getting LESS compatible with VST! VST used to be the one, true rock-solid version. Now it's got all these glitches that used to only befall the DXi/RTAS versions. I will acknowledge that it's been a bumpy road with SX2, of course. In fact, I'm actually sticking with SX1.x and Kontakt 1.2 - those two like each other just fine.
