Thanks man, just take a while to heal properly!

The quality and quantity of the music is amazing, there are so many good nights going on. Are there any you play out at here?

Back on the topic, how much will the RRP be for the book? Guessing it will be available on Amazon etc or is it a download?

OK i tried this out (IT WORKS). Got the digital out of my CDJ-400 and plugged it into the S/PDIF input. Connect RCA to port 3/4 output to your mixer, That's deck A done.

Now Deck B is more confusing. Connect the RCA Outs from your CDJ into the 2 mic inputs on the front i used RCA to i think its 1/4 Adapter to plug into the mic inputs.
Then Connect RCA to port 1/2 output to your mixer, That's deck B done.

You need the Timecode CD's that you can purchase from Native Instruments and Traktor Scratch software that has the (DVS) Digital Vinyl System to run the timecode cds or Vinyl. But in order to get traktor scratch you need to get the audio 8dj with it.

the Fast Track Pro also has Midi in and out so you can plug your controllers into it as well.

Hope that helps, Also tried it with my old Numark DM950 USB and it worked but you can only have one deck for that.

If you need anymore help just ask, Cheers DJ Day.

so just to confirm this- if a mixer is traktor scratch certified it is possible to run traktorscratchpro without the audio 8 soundcard?
i.e. you could run timecode on a xone 4d with just the mixer, laptop and traktor pro software?

...also would this be as good as the audio 8 in terms of quality or the worse

The 4D is Traktor Scratch Certified.
    The 3D is not.

    Hi,

I've got an ECLER NUO4 too, and think that the best solution, regarding on what you wanna do, is to purchase the crossgrade Traktor Scratch Pro with audio 8 DJ

But I'm wandering if somebody had done a TSI file for NUO4 cause, i'd like to bought TSP DUO in a few months for my My MacBook ?

    Thxs for your answers

There is one in the Traktor documents file. It's so easy to make your own though, because only you know what you want it to do. I made on that would probably not make much sense for most users work flow. I never tried the one from NI, it seemed it wouldn't work for me.

    To go further...

Thxs very much for those nice informations;but I need some explanations
Well, I saw that you've got TSP + an APHEX 204 Aural Exciter soundcard (or is it for recording your sets on your PC ?)
Did U use Control Lab to realize your NUO4 File ?
    Why didn't U run the original NUO4 File ?

Please, tell me more about what U do with TSP & How U do it with NUO4 (what kind of MIDI function have U done with TSP,...)

    Thxs a lot

The Aphex 204 I have in my rack and is post mixer for live and recording. It creates a nice full sound using harmonics. It also can enhance the bass, but I find it too boomy.

I didn't use Control Lab to change anything. Just the learn function in Traktor.
The first mapping I made had FX, Loops, Key, Browser and load functions. I don't remember what I didn't like about the stock .tsi, but it just didn't follow my work flow and had functions I don't use with timecode and I don't like the use of the A/B button because it takes too long to switch. You have to hold it down for a few seconds for it to change so I just use the toggle switch for scenes 1,2 and 3.
My current .tsi just has loops, filters, and load buttons in scene 1. I use the mouse to browse and the buttons on the NUO4 to load to the decks. I'll add back FX in scene 2 and 3, but I use them so rarely right now.

You can map so many functions to the Nuo4 and can map the two center channels for commands as well. I first started mapping everything I could, but found it was better to play with it awhile and find what I really wanted and just keep it simple.

This is awesome news, I was trying to get it to work with my Firewire 410 which has only 2 line inputs but also has digital in. Only problem now is that I can't seem to get a digital signal from my American Audio CDI-500's digital output. I'll keep working on that, I just needed to know it wouldn't be for nothing ;)

@Biefstuk, which version of Traktor are your using. Click the header where it say Traktor Scratch Pro and what number is on the pop-up. Also does it say Traktor Pro or Traktor Scratch Pro.

It's scratch pro, version 1.2.1. What does that mean?
Got it 2nd hand without an NI interface.

I have an M-Audio Firewire 410 which has only 2 line inputs but also has a digital input (s/pdif). I'm trying to use one CDJ through the line inputs and another CDJ through the s/pdif connection. If I'm reading correctly, I think DJ-Day said this principle worked for him.
Right now I'm trying to get a digital signal from my CDJ because I'm not getting one ;)

    Are you using Timecode?

I'm not sure I get what you mean? I'm trying to use timecode obviously.. two traktor control cd's in two American Audio CDI-500's, in combination with traktor scratch pro. Trying to get that working with an m-audio firewire 410.

    I'm confused lol.

Nothing to be confused about - it does not work.
Timecode only works with audio8, audio4 or Traktor approved mixer. Your m-audio is not one of these.
