...can be dropped in as a component.

Hence no need for me to use Ableton Live anymore!

What does the live session grid do? Link?

The live session is like a matrix of rectangles where you can keep midi clips (sequence). Each column = instrument, each row for a different midi (sequence). It's difficult to explain but it works really well for jamming ideas/live use. It's be cool to get something like it into kontakt, as I prefer kontakt as it reminds me more of a 'traditional' hardware sampler.

It's an interesting idea, but it definitely seems outside the scope of what Kontakt is designed to do. For example, Kontakt doesn't host any kind of MIDI at all -- it relies on MIDI being sent to it from the outside (either a direct MIDI device, or a sequencer). To add MIDI hosting to it, for example, in your example above, would be an entirely new arm of Kontakt.

A definitely valid idea, but my guess is, maybe outside the scope of what Kontakt is meant to be. (Just my $.02.)

    hi
    thats a great idea..
i guess.. its about finding a way to drag and drop midi files from the browser to a pattern script if thats what live does..

this is not intended to hijack the thread . but as the OP said Kontakt is the closest and the most evolved form of traditional sampler.. that is why i had posted in the past to put audio input as a feature ...
i still hope they can find a way and the need to do that as well..

..but for what u request ...its a +1 for me.
