    Hi,

Purchased QLSO East West SILVER from ebay... it's in original box and original CD and Serial no...

I was told it was not registered and fully worked.

I had to download a 'service centre' as the 'new method' of registering the software, after the 6 day trial ended... I downloaded and ran the service centre to register...
It says, 'This software is registered to another user'...

I'm looking into contacting the seller... that if he doesnt respond to me properly, I would be happy to see him charged with a civil or criminal offense of some kind. But I also have all the patience in the world for the guy if he just made a mistake and will work with me to resolve this situation. So far he's saying it worked fine for him and he's getting in touch with someone who may have registered it.

Does anyone have any helpful advise on how I can get this software working?...

    kindest regards,
    Jake.

I think you will have to get him to contact EastWest, and EastWest will have to contact NI to de-authorize that serial, so you can register it.

Or see if you can return it to him, since he advertised the serial as unregistered, but it's registered, and therefore he misrepresented the auction.

That's what I'd do. David's first suggestion probably won't work, as E/W prohibits license transfers. They'll probably claim it's a case of "buyer beware"...

I would suggest filing an eBay dispute and return the software to the Seller.
