Tech question for those of you here familiar w/things along these lines-

Just got into working w/Native Instruments,downloaded/installed a few of the Komplete Start bundle instruments/plugins and when I got to Komplete Kontrol I saw a screen asking which of the 2 Driver options I wanted to install(a regular Driver and one called MK2)...being unfamiliar w/things,checked online briefly as I was mainly focusing on getting everything set up on my system and then selected the one that seemed to be correct for my laptop OS(Windows 10 Pro)....

Anyways been spending a lot of time recently investigating everything involved in optimizing my set-up for music production, had to "look under the hood" and get into adjusting the buffer size settings in my DAW and along w/this been taking a closer look at what's been installed by default along w/various plugins, doing File Explorer/This PC searches and taking screenshots of the results as I'm thinking there's a lot of "bloat"/unnecessary stuff there I can delete right away to free up space,i.e."EULA" in different languages from NI etcetc....

In the process of doing this noticed that both the Drivers were installed unlike what I'd assumed had happened when I selected one of the two options so I'm posting this hoping to find out which of these I can safely delete.....or if I need these at all,as I happened to see a post on one of the NI online forums when I was checking into things initially w/the following info someone posted in reply to a person looking for help w/things-

"the problem is because Komplete Kontrol installs a virtual midi driver for NI hardware stuff, you need to disable that device driver in Device Manager or simply uninstall it."

As far as Drivers in general, not using an audio interface so have WASAPI Exclusive selected in my DAW settings, wondering if this is all I need,if the Drivers associated w/Komplete Kontrol are for stand-alone usage only which doesn't apply in my individual situation....

Appreciate any feedback from people familiar w/this stuff..... Komplete-Kontrol-vst.png

Just leave them, it’s for the keyboards, no need to worry about deleting, they don’t take up space or anything just leave as is
