Question about using FX with 2 X1's

ok im running 2 x1's, i want to be able to apply for example the filter on my 1 controller and i want the effect to happen on all 4 decks and not just the 2 decks assigned to each individual controller. is there a way to get all 4 decks to be affected by each effect no matter which controller its coming from.


in other words, say I have 3 tracks running and i want the filter from controller 1 to effect all the decks and not just decks A and B, how could I map this?

With the standard mapping the second X1 FX buttons activate FX deck 3 & 4 for decks C & D. You would have to change the mapping for them to activate FX deck 1 & 2 but then you would lose the option for FX deck 3 & 4 naturally. So you could map that to either a button on the X1 you do not use or maybe to a few keys on the laptop keyboard or make changes to the shift layer. All depends on your personal preference.

 

i tried that, i assigned controller #2 with fx bank 3and4 to effects bank 1 and 2 but that doesnt solve my problem.

I basically want my effects to control all 4 decks and not just 1 and 2 or 3 and 4, i want to be able to apply for example my filter on controller 1 and i want it to have effect on all 4 decks not just decks 1 and 2, is this possible?

I figured it out, I should of thought about this harder before posting, All i needed to do was activate effects banks 1 and 2 on decks 3 and 4... lol thanks for the help tho.

 

Seeing as all of the buttons are currently being used by other features, you could try mapping the deck effect enable button to buttons in MIDI mode.
