This might is the 10000000000th thread of it but I can't find a decent answer out of the other threads.

    My current setup:

    Macbook Pro 13-inch
    Intel Core Duo 2: 2.26GHz
    2GIG Ram
    160GIG HDD
    Nvidia GeForce 9400M

    + Audio 8DJ

I got Traktor Pro running at 2.5MS and 44.1 samplerate

    Using 2 timecode CD's on 2 Pioneer CDJ's

Question : I have a HUGE gig next week and I was wondering if it's worth it trying a better samplerate. The soundsystem on that gig will be amazing(HQ).

    thanks!

    Best regards,

    J

first: latency has no (direct) effect on sound quality ...
the indirect effect is, if you set latency to low, you will get crackles,
because you reach a critical performance level.

about samplerate: CD's have 44.1, I wouldn't expect that you have audio material with better quality than a cd ...

Unles you're going to be running a lot of effects and drastic tempo changes from the original in your tracks, I don't see how you would benefit from 48K or even 96K sampling rate. But if you wish to try it, do it days in advance and really beat up Traktor first to test it.
