    Hello.
When I am running Maschine as a RTAS plugin inside of ProTools (7.4) on Mac
    I encounter the following issue

Once I load Maschine on to a stereo instrument track and load a kit and now I am ready to record.
The problem is, the input data (notes) does not register on the Protools side.
All the notes that I played are inside Maschine's sequencer screen.

Is this how it is supposed be?

    Thank you all in advance.

    Unfortunately, Yes.
There is a workaround which requires you to use Maschine as a VST plugin rewired to Pro Tools inside an application called Plogue Bidule. You would also need another 16 pad MIDI controller such as an Akai MPD or M-Audio Trigger Finger which will mirror the pads in Maschine for all 8 groups and allow you to record MIDI data directly into Pro Tools as you play.

I know, it sounds complicated and a pain but it works for me, but there's one drawback to this method. You cannot record data into Maschine's sequencer screen while it's being run inside Plogue Bidule. You'll have to do all your sequencing in Pro Tools. This actually gives you more flexibility but it's a different way of using Maschine with Pro Tools.

    sorry, i disagree with Mason00:

the Maschine Controller will record MIDI Data into the Maschine Software, unless you tell it otherwise.

press Shift + Control, this will make the Controller play in MIDI Mode. in MIDI Mode, you can record MIDI Notes in Pro Tools.

if you want to play kits in Maschine, you will need to use the Maschine Software Sounds MIDI Batch Setup, to make sure all 16 drums receive on different notes. i suggest reading up on this in your manual.

    thank you Mason and sowari.

    so the following steps then

load up maschine on a instrument track
shift maschine controller into midi controller mode.
verify sounds midi batch set up.

    will try this
