    hi there

is it possible to import a loop from my drive without having to 'sample' it into maschine?

i have a big collection of loops that i'd like to be able to quickly import and chop up to use as slices within a project.

You can load anything from your hard drive into maschine as a sample. On the software interface, left top there's a button you have to click to tell the browser to search your HD. I'm not home, so I can't see the button, but it's there ;)

I've not tried to slice samples from HD yet, but I'm sure you go to the edit window and do exactly what you do to slice a freshly samples bit.

I hope my half-arse answer helps. It's there, but you have to click it from puter, not on the box anywhere.

thanks bobby, that's just what i wanted to find out.
i was pretty sure you could, it would be a real pain to have to play everything in to the sampler function first.
