    Hi,

I am very new Traktor Scratch Pro user. Just starting to get familar with the system.

I would like to know if (and how) I am able to add in 'meta data' (eg. artist name, etc) into my WAV files. It's very important that I see this info when I am playing.

I have my files stored on an external disk, and have not imported any files into the Traktor collection. I was planning to just play off of my iTunes.

Do I need to import the files into the Traktor collection in order to have the 'meta data' displayed when the tracks are playing? If so, how do I go about editing this information?

It would be great if anyone out there would be willing to give some advice on this!

    Thank you very much!

    Cheers,

    Sara :)

in wav files, meta data will be saved in a separate "sister" file which won't be the same depending on the software you are using. You best bet is to use .wav's brother format .aiff (more common on macs) which is basically the same as .wav with a header containg metadata :)
