    Hey y'all, I'm looking into getting a computer based system to DJ with instead of CD's. I'm just curious to know what you guys think about the S2 and S4 in conjunction with an X1 or foot pedal. Is there a benefit to going with the S4 outside of the four deck control and foot pedal, or would it be about the same to run an S2 with an X1 side-by-side? I'm leaning towards an S4, but options are always welcome!

    Then the other bit, can you use any pedal if I were to run the s4? Or is it something special? I would imagine it;s an effect based option?

    4 Decks
    Midi in and out
    4 channel mixer
    Has inputs so you can plug an external source in (iPod, CD's etc) and you can upgrade to timecode control later.
    You can route the mic to a deck so you can apply effects etc.

    Cool! Thank you! Now I just need to decide how many of the S4 features I would actually use from day to day and then again re-evaluate. I really do like the looks of this unit all together, and I love traktor, so we'll see!

    No worries mate. I have an S4 and I think it's great. I honestly couldn't imagine using anything else.
