    Hello,

ive mapped all i need thats possible from the remix decks to my dn sc 2000.

i made a maschine mapping for the old sample decks once and i cant get the new mapping to do the same stuff although it works with the old mapping :(

    heres the problem.

i can only map play / retriger and stop... i need a shift key to stop samples and that is crap.

    1 want 1click play 2 / click stop / shift retrigger

the strage thing is that its working on my old maschine mapping.

but since everything is renamed i dont know what i mapped back then..

alot of the mapping names have been renamed in traktor 2.5... you may be able to map the basic play and retrigger for the remix decks though anything else will likely not work as it can only be used with the f1... as for the new mapping names, head over to traktor bible and there is a list of old mappings and what they are now renamed to in traktor 2.5.. not sure if i am allowed to post the link in these forums..

    https://traktorbible.com/articles/mapping-changes.aspx

ok i posted the link, if i am not meant to i do appologize though this is a forum to help one another.. :)
Hope this helps and is what you are looking for

    hey thanks...

the thing is my old maschine mapping converted to the new names but it works like i want.

so it must be posdible even with the new names.

but i have no clue how i mapped it to stop at 2nd press :(
and i also dont remember if i had to do something special or if it just worked.

but that play/retrigger wont stop the sample sound logical to me...

    hmmmm what did i do ? ;)

so, after reading several threads and guides i assume the remix decks are almost useless without the new F1 controller, which makes all owners of other NI controllers (and ofc 3rd copntrollers) a step behind (as there are no sample decks anymore in 2.5)

Regarding the statement from Friedemann Becker "it will not be possible to assign the pads from maschine controller to the cells of the remix decks".

So any controller doesnt seem to be 100% compatible to Traktor 2.5 except F1. I may understand, that the depth of integration prevents other controller to fully work with this update, but otherwise there should be another version of Traktor 2.5 which works well with other controllers (or still an updated 2.1.2 with all the 2.5 improvements except the remix decks)

    uhm... nope.

yes, 100% can only be achieved by the F1. but you still have the functionality of the old sample decks PLUS some additions. or in other words: you got something more now.

No, you can't map start/stop button slot by slot... The only way is to import a .tsi from the old Traktor with the old mapping and traktor 2.5 will change in the right mapping in import... (sorry for my english, i hope you'll understand -_- )

if you need the tsi files : www.files.anaelj.com/sample-map.tsi

Found Out How To Emulate Sample Deck Functionality

I've been trying to figure this out myself for weeks but I have finally created a way to emulate the old functionality using modifiers and wanted to post it in case others look for it (I was unable to find this anywhere else). Please read everything below carefully for full instructions and notes on behavior.

Emulating Traktor 2 Sample Deck Stop/Play in Traktor 2.5

    Section 1

    1. Go to Preferences and select the Controller Manager screen
    2. Click Add in > Remix Deck > Slot Capture / Trigger/ Mute
    3. Under Assignment choose a Remix Deck Slot (For sake of example use Remix Deck 3 Slot 1)
    4. Under Modifier Conditions click Modifier > Slot State > Remix Deck 3 Slot 1 (Or whatever was chosen in the previous step)
    5. While still under Modifier Conditions click Value > Loaded
    6. Click Learn and the button you wish to map to the slot

    Section 2

    1. Click Add in >Remix Deck > Slot Stop/Delete/Load
    2. See Section 1 Step 3
    3. See Section 1 Step 4
    4. While still under Modifier Conditions click Value > Loaded
    5. Click Learn and push the same button used in Section 1 Step 6.

This will allow for one button start and stopping of looped samples loaded into the remix decks.

    NOTE:

The above method will cause a small issue when using One Shot samples as opposed to Looped samples. When a sample is in one shot mode pressing once the button once will play the one shot and pressing again will "stop" the one shot (since after using the one shot it will be considered "playing" by Trakor 2.5.) then after stopping you can press the button again to trigger the sample.

Essentially this means you will not be able to rapidly retrigger one shots. I will continue researching to see is it possible to accomplish retriggering one shots and stop/play functionality using one button.

I have attached a TSI file that demonstrates the above instructions. Import the TSI and use the "Learn" function on both mappings to test the functionality explained above.

    Final Note:

I hope the above information was helpful and informative. Please feel free to share this information but if you repost this it would be greatly appreciated if you credit me.

If you found these instructions useful then please consider liking me on Facebook and checking out my mixes.

thanks a lot for posting this. it's very strange things are made so complicated by NI to have this most basic of functionalities without the F1.

    2 things:
    1. I didn't know importing a .tsi file overwrites (!) your current one. And not just for one device, but for all of them. So after importig your .tsi all my mappings for 4 different controllers were gone... Luckily i had a backup :)
    2. I didn't get it to work - pressing stop actually also deletes the sample from the slot. Anything i'm missing?

    Thanks!

    Greetings groovearchitect,

Not a problem. It was an annoying issue to figure out and I was sure others would appreciate it.

Importing that file shouldn't have erased any other settings. Are you sure you imported the TSI correctly? When importing controller mapping profiles you want to do so via the "Add" option of the controller menu. Take a look at this guide here

    http://www.djtechtools.com/2010/02/24/set-up-multiple-controllers-in-traktor/

You want to do what it says under "To bring in your 2nd TSI file you need to use the smaller import option:".

After you import the mapping this way you will need to map your buttons to the controls I specified and then you should be good to go. Please let me know if you still have issues.
